Ambleside on the LakeAmbleside on the Lake is a very pretty guest house/B&B, overlooking Lake Daylesford. At only 75 minutes drive from Melbourne, it’s the perfect place for a weekend escape from the city.

Overall rating: Excellent, with an outstanding location

Ambleside overlooking the lakePerfect for…
Couples wanting a relaxing getaway from the city. Our favourite activities in the local area included walks around the lake, visiting galleries, shops and restaurants, driving and visiting the mineral springs.
Best of all, however, we enjoyed sitting on the deck of the property in the peace and quiet, admiring the view of the lake. We’ll be back, for sure.
