Rainbow Retreat is situated on the north east coast of Tasmania at St Patricks Head, on 75 acres of beautiful bush with sensational coastal views. The property is a private nature reserve with abundant wildlife.
Only 30 minutes drive from St Helens, the game fishing capital of Tasmania, Rainbow Retreat can arrange guided fishing tours through local operators from game fishing to trout fly-fishing.
There are numerous walks from ten minutes to one hours drive, such as St Patricks Head, South Sisters, St Colombia Falls, Blue Tiers, Bay of Fires and Freycinet National Park. Ben Lomond ski fields are about one hour away for those that want to ski or play in the snow.
Rainbow Retreat is 1.5 hours from Launceston and 2.5 hours from Hobart on the sunny northeast coast. Access is easy to the most beautiful beaches on the northeast coast of Tasmania, which is only ten minutes drive.
The resort has a full liquor licence and each cabin has a wine rack with a selection of premium Tasmanian and Banrock Station wines and also a fully stocked mini bar at very reasonable prices.
Accommodation Scamander There are three quality eco cabins which are solar powered and have a deck area with fantastic ocean views of the north east coast of Tasmania.
Cabins are self-contained or a delicious woodfired pizza or a dish from the in-house menu can be supplied.
Cabins are timber lined and open plan, with a queen size bed, a double fold out futon, dining suite, color TV, radio and a potbelly stove. There is a generous size ensuite bathroom with Sheridan king size bath towels. Cabins run on a 12-volt solar system with all the facilities you would expect.
