Each property listed on TakeABreak.com.au receives its own free, dedicated web page, once detailed information is entered by the operator.
Detailed information and images are part of the free listing. There is no fee for listing your property - only a low advertising fee for successful bookings of $8 per night (+GST)
Your listing consists of:
- A short description and photo in the summary pages
- Ability to list 'specials' and register 'last minute' offers
- A summary of property facilities
- A detailed description of your property including information on location, facilities etc on your own web page
- Up to 10 images
- A place to put detailed pricing information
- An updatable availability calendar
- Inclusion in our search engine by keyword, location, accommodation type, holiday themes and activities
- Participate in our e-mail newsletter
- Publish articles on www.takeabreak.com.au
- Submit tips
- Internal search engine placement
- Booking enquiries from visitors looking for places to stay
Setting up your account and putting in information is easy with our user-friendly instructions (even if you have not used the web before) and takes only minutes through our online, password protected site.
You can return and edit your details at any time. Or, if you operate multiple properties just add additional properties to your account.

The information required to list is an e-mail address, phone number, brief property description, and your authority to list this property (i.e. that you enter your relationship to this property such as owner, manager, agent, authorised representative etc.). Of course, the more additional detail you are able to provide, the higher your booking success is likely to be.

How Our Advertising Fees Work
1) At the end of each month, we will send you a list of the enquiries you have received through our system.
2) We understand that many enquiries do not result in bookings and so we ask you to correct the information we send to only show those enquiries which actually turned into bookings, and how many nights the stay was for.
3) We will only invoice you when visitors referred through Take A Break advertising actually have stayed. We trust that the vast majority of owners will report accurately and will be happy to pay what amounts to a quite small advertising fee. We survey visitors on a random basis to get feedback on quality and whether the stay happened.
Only once you log into our system or otherwise actively agreed to our terms and conditions at http://www.takeabreak.com.au/TermsofUse.html is a real or implied contract with us, otherwise there is no obligation for you to pay our advertising fee.
How Do We Charge?
Our success-based advertising fee is $8 per booking per night plus GST per confirmed booking unless otherwise negotiated.
Our plan is to help you increase your occupancy through low cost internet advertising. Our research shows visitors are confused by too many individual websites and want a comprehensive directory they can find options through. Visitors are increasingly using the internet to book.
