South West Rocks is still a relatively undiscovered holiday haven situated on the North Coast between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour - just the place to get away, yet with great local restaurants and facilities to make your holiday a relaxing experience that you'll talk about for years to come.

Choose from Grass Trees House, a large 3-bedroom house and Tallow Wood, a separate 2-bedroom pavilion. Or combine the two to cater for the large family, or two families who each want their own privacy.

Generous living areas with sweeping windows and large covered decks take advantage of the beauty of nature from an elevated perspective. The high ceilings over the living area give both Grass Trees House and Tallow Wood Pavilion a wonderfully light atmosphere.

The properties are 4 star rated, spacious, comfortable, well decorated and include a well-appointed kitchen with quality modern appliances and undercover parking. They come fully self-contained and complete with TV, video, stereo, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.

Both Grass Trees House and Tallow Wood Pavilion offer quality furnishings and have many extras not offered by other holiday properties, including a selection of novels and games provided for your comfort and enjoyment. The covered decks are perfect for capturing the morning sun while providing protection from the harsh afternoon heat. The main decks are equipped with a gas BBQ and a large outdoor dining setting. Take time out amongst the grass trees and tallow woods.

Perfect for young children as both properties have large covered decks, with gates.

Tallow Wood is a fantastic couples retreat or great for smaller families.

Tea and coffee supplied on arrival.

South West Rocks is at the mouth of the Macleay River on Australia's Holiday Coast. Located 465km, approximately 5 hours drive, north of Sydney and equidistant from the Gold Coast. This coastal hamlet is the perfect place to relax and is a great family getaway.

Located between Port Macquarie (45 minutes drive) and Coffs Harbour (80 minutes drive), and roughly 35 kilometres north east of Kempsey, South West Rocks puts you right in the centre of Australia's Holiday Coast without all the hustle and bustle.

Grass Trees Escape is privately located on 2.5 acres of bush, yet is literally only 5 minutes drive to dozens of beaches, town centre, restaurants, pubs, clubs and other facilities.

Attractions

Go whale watching from May to August when the humpback whales migrate north. The peak time to watch for whales is June and July.

South West Rocks is the largest seaside town within the Macleay Valley. In a prime position on Australia's Holiday Coast, it is mid-way between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.

Surrounded by sandy beaches and lapped by sparkling blue ocean and waterways teeming with marine and wildlife, eucalypt forests and native bushland abound.
