At TakeABreak® we believe in openly providing information to help you choose the perfect holiday. We provide guest comments and the average guest rating to help you to see how other people like you enjoyed (or not) their holiday experience. While guest comments are subjective, and should be read with care, we feel they offer a valuable source of additional information to help you choose the perfect place to stay. We only permanently display guest comments from people who have actually stayed at the property, and unlike other websites, they cannot just be added by anyone at anytime, nor do we remove these just because they provide a bad rating or negative comment.
Our Enquiry Response level gives you more information based on the track record of properties with TakeABreak. Put simply, we believe that the best value information is what 'you' the consumer describes about a property and you set the expectation, not us. The idea of this is to give you the best possible opportunity to make an informed decision on where to spend your hard-earned dollars.
Guest comments tell you about the experiences of real guests while the enquiry response is more about service in booking and before the stay. The combination of the guest comments and enquiry response levels will help you understand which properties on TakeABreak deliver the best overall experience for people like you.
A high enquiry response level is reached according to clear standards and cannot be bought. We do not doctor or 'fix up' any property's ratings; they can only be earned by providing great service to potential customers like you. We also have a 'New' category to allow for operators to establish a track record and not be disadvantaged by the short period of time they have been listed with us.
Platinum properties have an extended track record of achieving the highest level of enquiry and guest comment results. They continually raise the bench mark in terms of superior pre and post service and delivering outstanding holiday experiences. We are in awe of their service levels.
Outstanding properties have an extremely strong rate of satisfied customers. These properties will often go that extra mile to ensure fantastic holiday experiences.
Excellent properties have a very good track record and in most cases meet the standard of pre service we expect... prompt and professional responses to your enquiries and booking requests.
Good properties have a track record with us which there may be areas of opportunity. While the continuous overall level is not as good as our best properties it still meets the needs of many consumers, so don't be afraid to still make a request.
Basic properties have a lower record of completing bookings which may reflect lower service in areas like response times, calendars up to date or accurate pricing. You may still receive a good experience from these properties, and we are of course working with them to help them improve.
Unrated properties have not had enough recent activity for us to assign a meaningful performance level.
New properties are newly listed with TakeABreak and do not yet have an enquiry response level and we would like to give these operators are chance to create a history with us.
