Devon Cottage at "Southdown" provides a totally unique cosy rustic accommodation experience for a romantic and peaceful getaway.

It is located in a very private sylvan setting of trees, hedges, ponds and garden rooms on the 6 acre park-like estate. The garden is there for you to enjoy and changes dramatically through the seasons.

The cottage is fully self-contained and equipped for your relaxation. Reverse cycle air conditioning ensures comfort all year round.
The interior has been professionally decorated with a collection of rustic cottage and victorian bric-a-brac.
There is a hip bath to relax in and a wood fire for those wintery Highland nights.

Your accommodation gives you access to "Southdown" a Southern Highlands iconic property just a few minutes drive to Bowrals cafes, restaurants.

Experience 'The Book Trail' - many antiquarian books shops to frequent.
Don't miss the cold climate vinyards in the Highlands.
Take a 10 min walk to the town centre where there are many cafes,restaurants & boutique shops to visit.
The wonderful Morton National Park is just 15 min away.
Stroll around historic Berrimna Village.
Just a 40 minutes drive to the beach or Kangaroo Valley and the tourist town of Berry.

The Southdown Estate

Southdown is an historic 1857 estate.
Originally 335 acres it formed what is now know as Burradoo.
It was divided up in the 1880 under the Holly Park Estate Subdivision and reduced to 35 acres.
It was summer home to many of Sydney's establishment, a school for girls in the 1890's and Southdown Riding School & guest house from 1920 to 1960.
Wander around the now 6 acre property where old and new gardens and trees are blended into tranquil and timeless 'rooms'
