Bredbo is a quaint rural village located in the Monaro, the heart of Merino Country. Undisturbed by the urban sprawl of the major cities and towns Bredbo has retained its old world charm and the true nature of Australian rural life. The gateway to the High Country Bredbo is surrounded by views of sprawling grasslands, pastures and mountains. Bredbo is the perfect place to energise the body and soul so that after your visit you’ll be ready to take on the world again.

All your senses can be indulged by booking a Soar, Sup and Slumber package. Experience the spirit of adventure with the serenity and tranquility of gliding over the Monaro. With your feet back on the ground prolong the feeling of peace while sipping on a glass of Settin Estate wine and munching on a succulent wood fired pizza in the local vineyard before retiring to snuggle up at your B&B. Wake up to the smells of a gourmet breakfast before venturing out to sample more of what Bredbo has to offer.

We urge you to park the car at the Hall and take a stroll, for just a few minutes walk or a leisurely jog away is the Bredbo and Murrumbidgee rivers where you’ll find some perfect spots for picnicking, fishing or swimming. Or if you prefer, leave the calorie counter behind and indulge in pancakes and crepes oozing with scrumptious fillings are available at Bredbo Pancake Restaurant. Nestle back in this historic building and delight in the skills of old in the hand carved wooden ceiling. Local handicrafts, homemade jams and other treats are also available for purchase so why not take a little bit of Bredbo away with you?

Christmas comes early in Bredbo and nobody does it better. From June Bredbo Cottage opens it’s barn doors to the largest display of Christmas decorations on offer in NSW. You will be awe struck by the sheer quantity, quality and diversity of Christmas decorations gathered from all over the world particularly America and Europe.

Finish the day sipping a cold beer at the Bredbo Inn. The verandah and beer garden are delightful spots in summer and there’s nothing better than snuggling up around the large potbelly fire in winter.

If you own a 4X4 and shopping and eating are not your style venture out to Cowra Creek and the sites of deserted gold mines. Call into Feathers B&B for directions to the area, then try and seek out the old hotel, bakery, and cemeteries. Bring your bat and ball and search for the old cricket pitch for a game or two.  Fossick around the old gold mine sites or just enjoy one of the many scenic spots along the Bredbo River.

Spend a night or two at Feathers B&B where you can lay back in comfort. Your hosts will take particular care to make your stay memorable and don’t forget to look out for those extra little touches and treats to make you feel special.
