At the end of a busy or relaxing day exploring, your cottage will be the perfect place to come home to, with comfortable beds and a pot billy style gas fire awaiting you. You can prepare your own meals in the ktichen, the BBQ area, or head back for more good fare at Taste of India or the Pub. Relax with a movie, from our FREE DVD Library, and best of all - sleep in! Late check out is included. Please explore our gardens, pick some fruit or take a cutting or two. Prop a chair under a tree and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. You will want to return, and every time, there will be something new to discover.
The cottages are very clean and country style, with comfy beds.

Locality

Stanbyrne is close to the Highway, V line Trains and Buses, and you can also explore Yarragon on foot, or bring your bike! There are also lovely walking tracks both around yarragon, and in the Mt Worth State Park, as well as around Blue Rock Dam. The Historical Village in Moe and Walhala are also close by, as is picturesue Mirboo North. Wether you are collecting Antiques, love browsing second hand shops, wish to explore galleries, enjoy botique shops with individual style, or require a massage, or facial, or seek good coffee and gourmet food, there is something for everyone here.
West Gippsland comes alive with markets every weekend, annual fairs, Art and Food events and so much more - chekc the local events calendar on the Baw Baw shire website. We have lived here for five years, and are still exploring!

Property

Stanbyrne's cottages are set in 1/2 acre of gardens, with access from the princes Hwy. You can park next to your cottage, and walk into Yarragon. Your cottage is fully equiped, linen and towels are provided, and you will be comfortable wether you are staying one night or six months!
The cottages have country style decor, and kept very clean, with particular attention being given to the beds, as we know that a good night's rest is paramount to your enjoyment of your stay.

There are several State park closeby to explore, with beautiful cold climate rain forrests and towering gums. Mt Worth would be the closest, and also affords breathtaking views of the area.

Our house is a beatiful 90 year old Californian Bungalow, and there are many other houses in Yarragon and surrounds of a similar age, many of which have been lovingly restored.

The historical village of Walhalla is less than 30 minutes by car, and offers the chance to see a gold mine still in action.
