Locality

Ashby is situated a short distance from the beautiful beaches of Yamba and Angourie and across the river from Maclean (the Scottish town in Australia). Grafton with its magnificant jacarandas is only a 45 minute drive away. Ballina airport is a 1 hour drive north.

Things to do

Hire a fishing boat or take a ferry ride across the river from Yamba to Iluka or a river cruise to explore the mighty Clarence. Walk miles of secluded white sandy beaches or watch the magnificent red susent over Lake Wooloweyah.

Yuraygir and Bundjalung National Parks offer easy walking tracks for those who wish to explore nature or watch migrating whales from the oceanfront lookouts.
