Holgate Brewhouse is a family owned 100% independent craft-brewing company, cranking out classic beer styles on our microbrewing plant in Woodend - 45 minutes north of Melbourne CBD in the central highlands of Victoria. Located at the historic Keatings Hotel, which was originally built as the major stop-over point en-route to Bendigo, to give both passengers and horses a well-earned rest.

Locality and What To DO

Situated in the heart of the village of Woodend, Holgate Brewhouse at Keatings Hotel is an easy location to get to - and is a great spot to base yourself for further trips around the Macedon Ranges, Daylesford and Spa Country and the Goldfields. Woodend is only 45 minutes drive from Meloburne CBD, or come by traina with the V/Line station only 2 minutes walk away. Also easy access to Tullamarine air-port, which is 40 minutes by car/taxi.

WHAT TO DO ??

There's heaps of great stuff to do in the Macedon Ranges - why not stay the weekend at Holgate Brewhouse at Keatings Hotel and indulge yourself. Of course there are all the Holgate beers to check out on Draught, and enjoy the dining experience at our fabulous restaurant and live music in the bar. But there are many other activities while you're up this way, such as:

....THE BEERS
Our beers are all traditionally brewed with pure Macedon Ranges water and NO artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or process aids. Our Real Ales are served from Beer Engines fully imported from England - these babies pump up the ale from the cellar in the time honoured tradition.

You can even buy a Tasting Paddle, a 8 x 90mL sampler tray of the Holgate range of draught beers.

Relax and kick-back in the friendly atmosphere of our groovy bar and lounge and enjoy the 7 Holgate draught beers, a superb local wine list, Byron Bay grown coffee, newspapers, great views across the village of Woodend and a friendly and warm atmosphere. Live most Friday and Saturday nights.
