Cottage

The welcoming cedar country house stands alone on 95 tranquil and beautiful rural acres 4.5 kilometres north of the historic Wollombi Village in the Hunter Valley Wine Country This wonderfully equipped self-catering cottage, which sleeps eight, is perfect for families and groups looking for a relaxed and private getaway location.

There is a large open plan living area, with slow combustion wood fire, TV and stereo, a well equipped kitchen including breadmaking facilities and ingredients.

It has extensive outdoor areas including verandah, BBQ and outside dining where you can be at one with the peaceful Valley.

All linen and towels are supplied

Enjoy the native garden featuring ancient gums, the bush with wallabies and wombats. Go fishing and swimming from the sandy beach of the Wollombi Brook. Enjoy watching the lavender grow.

Explore Wollombi Village with its heritage buildings and the delightful Wollombi Valley. Visit the local wineries, the Wollombi Tavern, the two lovely sandstone churches, the Museum, the General Store and the art and craft shops. Eat at the cafes and restaurants. Play tennis or enjoy a bushwalk.

What a wonderful relaxing long weekend we've had! Gorgeous view, tranquility plus long happy dinner parties around the dinning table. Misty mornings, warm days filled with the sound of cicadas, beautiful birds and the occasional moo of the cows. What more could you ask? It's a little paradise.

Wollombi

The village of Wollombi is at the heart of the Wollombi Valley, and the historic gateway to the Hunter Valley Wine Country.

Today the Wollombi community is vibrant and diverse. Rich in creative art, history, scenery and wildlife the Wollombi Valley is made up of hidden valleys, farms, vineyards, olive groves and lavender farms and surrounded by the ranges of National Parks.
