Cottage, 4WD tour, Walking Tours

Country lifestyle, with two choices of accommodation:

The Dairy is a charming 2 bedroom cottage. Magnificent views, spacious bathroom, complete with spa bath, a screened-in verandah where you can sit and enjoy the majestic scenery all year round, or laze in recliners in the living area. Air conditioned in the lounge & master bedroom, and a slow combustion (wood) heater and a ceiling fan in the lounge room.
Quaint, comfortable,
Best suits 2 - 4 people.

CornShed Cottage is a quaint single bedroom small cottage, originally built 1840's, now freshly renovated yet retaining historic slab exterior & original exposed internal beams.
Large glass windows lead to views & screened-in verandah where you can sit in comfort & enjoy the great views all year round.
Air conditioned in the lounge, with a slow combustion (wood) heater (coming 2012).
The bedroom has a queen size bed. The sofa does open out as a sofa bed. The bathroom is clean & functional, simple but roomy with a shower, vanity & toilet.
CornShed Cottage is self-contained, with a kitchen (gas oven/hotplates & microwave), as well as a gas BBQ on the verandah. All you need to bring is yourself, personal supplies & food/drinks.

Pet friendly, by arrangement.

Bush walking and/or 4WD is available on the property, with tracks passing bush orchids, lilli pilli, rocks, caves, etc.

Terrain includes open pasture, craggy rocky mountains as well as the Wollombi brook.

Horse facilities include post & rail fencing, stables, cross country course, show jumps & indoor arena. Horse riding only available with your own horse!

Wildlife abounds with birds, wallabies, roos, wombats, rabbits & foxes.

Cats are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside, Secure, fully fenced running area, Other domesticated animals reside at the property.

Your dog, if house trained, is allowed inside the Dairy and also has the screened in verandah, which has netting as well as screening up to about 3'6 high, then screening above that. As long as your dog doesn't chase the livestock, he/she may have a play (loose) around the paddocks while you are watching her (we suggest you don't just leave a dog in strange surroundings to its own devices for long periods at a time, as they could run off & there are wombat & rabbit holes around). There is a small dog yard with very high (like 8ft) fences just off the Dairy.
We have 3 very friendly dogs; a boxer cross, a dachshund/staffie type cross & a young Japanese Spitz (fluffy white dog). They are very friendly with visiting dogs, usually we introduce every one nicely, and to date, with quite a number of doggy visitors, we haven't had any problems.
There are heaps of walks etc to go on with your dog too, on the property. Our main concern is that your dog is vaccinated, wormed & controlled around the livestock. Doggy-do in the paddocks is fine, we just ask that you pick any up in the lawned area around the Dairy, Barn or House.
