"My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Windswept Country Retreat. The accommodation is very comfortable and depicts a traditional country farmhouse with all the creature comforts. The two fireplaces came in handy as we stayed the May long weekend and woke up to frosty grass. But a few "how to make a fire" lessons later we were toasty warm and warmed up on the enclosed verandah where the sun streamed in to warm our bones. Three bathrooms catered for three women, which came in handy and allowed our own space.
We all want to know where you can buy the doonas as they are the warmest and cosiest we've ever experienced.
Stanthorpe is a great place to visit and I was pleasantly surprised to see the increase in places to visit and sample local products which included food as well as wine.
Windswept is an excellent place to get away from it all and have the comforts of having a house to yourself with all the trimmings."

"2 nights wasn't enough, beautiful and cosy cottage, wonderful for the children, excellent value. Ideally located for Stanthorpe, wineries and Girraween National Park. Would definitely return! Grimes family from Brisbane"

"This place proved to be a lovely surprise. All we needed was a place to crash for six after our graduation at U.N.E. What we found was both homey and pampering at the same time. Will definitely go back."

"I would recommend Windswept to anyone wanting to have a quiet getaway in and around Stanthorpe. The accommodation is clean, cosy, well appointed and has a country feel about it. The fireplace and sunroom add to the ambience. There is a games room and the grounds with their rose & lavender gardens are relaxing. Then there is the food! Top quality and we couldn't eat it all! The owners are very helpful and friendly. "
