The guest quarters are fully renovated with air conditioning in the bedrooms, ceiling fans and wood fire in the living areas. A wood deck that leads off the living area has a gas BBQ for carefree entertaining.

Yanderra Estate is a working farm 35 minutes drive west of Port Macquarie, 20 minutes west of the Pacific Highway and 15 minutes from Wauchope. The main farm activity is breeding Dexter cattle.

Dexters are a small hardy breed of cattle that tolerate rough pastures and drought conditions and are well suited to small farming enterprises. Companion grazing with goats, sheep and horses is practised in order to control weeds and parasites without the use of chemicals.

Visitors are welcome to help with a round up. Children love to feed the baby goats with a bottle, hand feed the older goats and watch their antics or help find the eggs in the chook yard for their breakfast.

Other activities include picnicking, swimming and fishing by the Pappinbarra River and bush walking. Yanderra Estate is a photographer’s dream come true with its abundant flora and fauna.

Local attractions include the historic replica Timbertown at Wauchope.This is a great place to visit no matter what age you are. There is a bullock team, steam train, & heaps more!

Visit Werrikimbe National Park and Ellenborough Falls. Horse riding, Winery, 4WD & boating tours can also be arranged with prior notice.

Our farm activities are specifically designed for primary aged children and include an orienteering course, a cattle round up, fossicking, feeding the animals, and billy tea and damper.

The guest quarters have three bedrooms and a sun room that converts into a fourth bedroom. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and two single beds, an ensuite, small kitchenette and veranda. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and bedroom 3 has two sets of bunks. The sunroom has two lounges that convert into beds. A shower and toilet is available off the living area.
