Watervale, South Australia
Set on 200 acres of scenic woodland in the spectacular Skilly Hills. Cosy cottages with wood fires. Kookaburras and kangaroos. Centrally located in the Clare Valley and adjacent to Riesling Trail.
"The peaceful setting and the very comfortable cottages.
This was an excellent place for a family celebration. Provisions for breakfast were very generous, beds were very comfortable and knowledge of the local area was very helpful.
It was great to be able to have all the family together and still have seperate accomodation in 3 cottages."

"Battunga is in a beautiful location out of the centre of town. The rooms are great and the hosts are lovely people. We rode along the Reisling Trail to Clare on the Saturday and to Auburn on the Sunday. What a wonderful experience in the fantastic Clare Valley - I have been recommending it to friends already."

"The location is a little difficult to find - we arived in the dark. However it was well worth the effort - the locale is restful, the rooms superb and proprietor discreetly attentive. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning to this establishment. "

"Overall we were very happy with the package. The fact that you are isolated in native bushland with wood fired heating was very appealing. Beautiful surroundings."

"Very peaceful with lovely landscaping and high standard of furnishings in the units. Very good standard for 3.5 stars. Not a lot of room in the main living/kitchen area and only limited kitchen facilities but comfortable for one or two nights. Excellent breakfast provisions."

"Although it rained the whole 2 nights we were there 'Battunga' is a fabulous place. We had a great two days of R&R, the fire was cosy, the homemade bread and muffins were divine, the peace and tranquility of the setting was just what the doctor ordered. Can recommend the 'Watervale Pub,' very friendly."
