Battunga is ideal for couples or groups of friends accommodating up to 12 people. There are 4 self contained cottage apartments,
Galah - 2 bedrooms(1 QS& 2 single)
Kookaburra-1 bedroom (QS)
Rosella - 1 bedroom (QS)
Parrot-2 bedrooms (1QS & 2 single)
All apartments have private, leadlight entrances featuring birds of the region, with kitchenettes, lounge and private ensuite bathrooms.
Full hearty breakfast provisions are provided with bacon made by the local butcher, home-baked bread, eggs freshly laid by the hens, juice, cereals etc.Chocolates and port are also provided as well as vouchers for local wineries for a 2 night stay.

The buildings are of double brick construction.

A gas BBQ and outside entertainment and dining area is adjacent to the cottages.

The property is located along the scenic drive and consists of a large portion of native bushland. There is prolific bird life and kangaroos residing in the hills. Guests are welcome to traverse the hills and gullies.

Battunga is centrally located to the wineries of the Clare Valley and adjacent to the Riesling Trail (walk or cycle ).

Locality

At Watervale, visit local wineries,Annies Lane at Quelltaler, Clos Clare, Crabtree , O'leary Walker, Stephen John. Venture to the local art studio with Murray Edwards. Go to the garden centre at "Morella Cottage Plants" and buy plants/crafts and enjoy a coffee or visit the local art and craft shops. Explore the historical and unique buildings of the township or ride/walk along the "Riesling Trail". Wine and dine at the Watervale Hotel or family friendly Leasingham Bistro.

Property

Battunga is a 200 acre property consisting mostly of native trees and bushland.

There are a number of animals on the farm, pet cows and sheep along with a number of pet lambs, all with names who like to accompany you on your walks.
There is prolific native birdlife as well as kangaroos residing in the hills.
Spectacular views , overlooking the surrounding Clare Valleycan be seen from the top of the hills

Able to put shower chairs in.There is a very small door stop into the cottages (about 1/2 a brick high.The beds are the right height to slide onto from wheelchair.(I have a husband with a disability as well). Feedback from guests in wheelchairs staying have advised us that the facilities are very good
