Holiday house


Mountain View, situated in Laharum at the foot of the Grampians National Park, was built in the 1930's. The house is surrounded by 2 acres of garden which includes lilacs, a wisteria walkway, over 50 original rose varieties, azaleas and rhododendrons. The house itself contains 3 bedrooms, 2 double and one for children, 2 bathrooms, large dining room and sitting room/kitchen area. All linen is supplied as are laundry facilities and all your cooking and cutlery apparel with all rooms fully furnished. Undercover parking is available for one vehicle , with weekly cleaning available as an extra for longer stays. The house is air-conditioned and firewood is supplied daily during the colder months with additional electric heaters installed in each bedroom. Television and DVD facilities are located in the living room. Mountain View boasts wide views of the Grampians and is centrally located for traveling to the nearby Wartook Valley or Halls Gap.

We enjoyed our stay at Mountain View very much. The house is really
comfortable and a great example of the style of the 30's. We enjoyed the
views of the Grampians at sunset, and also the morning sun during breakfast.
We also enjoyed the garden which you have kept beautiful despite the drought
(your scrapbook journal was very interesting).

Property owners are motorcycle riders and welcome the opportunity to share the experience of the Grampians with fellow enthusiasts, located on arguably one of the best roads for bikes in Victoria with the Northern Grampians Rd winding its way to Halls Gap and back, a must for bike lovers everywhere.

Pet friendly


Cats are permitted, Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Large dogs (34 kg or heavier) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside, Secure, fully fenced running area, Food and water bowls provided, Bedding/sleeping area provided, Other domesticated animals reside at the property.

Pets are more than welcome at Mountain View. Small dogs and cats are welcome to sleep inside the house yet there is a large secured pen with sleeping kennels for 2 dogs and water supplies available outside the house. You are welcome to leave your pets here while you explore the National Park, their yard is co-located with our property so we can keep an eye on them while you are away. The house yard itself is fenced but not completely secure so you need to monitor them while they are outside. We are more than happy for them to roam across our 40 acre property under supervision as there is no stock to disturb them.
