"convenient"
Guest rating: 3/5  - Nigel - June 11

"We knew the place would be noisy due to the location and that it was small, this we where happy to deal with but the cleaner needs a kick up the backside. Tha hair ball in the sink was yuck and the fact we could write our names on the glass top coffee table was off putting. the bedding was clean and nice fluffy towels but the floor could have been vaccumed better and having to defrost the freezer took away from my holiday time."

"A convenient location withing walking distance of shops and facilities, beach etc.
We thought the price was great seeing as we had 4 adults staying there. The beds were great and it was convenient to have them all made up. We brought our own pillows fortunately as some were too high for us.
We were warned that it would be noisy that weekend due to a number of happenings at the hotel next door. We had late nights, were tired so it didn't matter.
The whole place is a little tired. A good dusting of the venetians, fan and washing of the windows would help. Backyard could do with a clean up. Wouldn'd be good for kids - too many prickles."

"Accomodation was adequate and comfortable. Outdoor noise was loud on the weekend and the patrons of the pub spilled onto the driveway.
Airconditioner worked well, kitchen was satisfactory but small. Some extra cleaning wouldn't hurt."

"Have just come back from a great family holiday to Wallaroo.Cottage was clean, comfortable, & good value for money (Good A/C).Will rebook as wife & kids are keen to return.Pub staff very friendly & can supply a crab boiler & ice if required."

"First comment is the food at the Cornocopia hotel is excellent pub food, and maybe the only saving grace for our stay.
Very basic accommodation. Were not impressed with a few things, the cottage was dusty and floor covered in prickles (obviously not vacuumed prior to our stay). TV does not tune in! Pillows were terrible - we suggest bring your own if you want to avoid a cricked neck!
Would be good value for a family or group splitting the cost but we will definitely not be going back.

"accommodation was very comfortable although there was a noise factor associated with the proximity of the hotel. Not for the fussy holiday makers but if you don't mind a bit of the party atmospher it fine, "

"cornucopia cottage? more like shack we spent 1hour cleaning all the plates ,cups ect as ants were all through the cupbords then we got no sleep as the pub is right next door and had blaring music until 4 in the morning and the shack backs onto the carpark and drive through bottle shop language from leaving patrons was less then plesant and as i have a young family this was also stressing. ontop of that the cd player didnt work and tv reception was next to nill, the yard was a mess with weeds every were and the bathroom could do with a mutch needed upgrade sutch as locks on doors that work would be a start . but that said the locals are freindly and the maratime museum was a treat for the whole family and the cream buns from the bakery were great.
the local playground the kids loved and north beach was fantastic all other retail outlets are also freindly and helpful.
I would visit again but would find other accommodation. "

"A lovely and welcomed retreat after a long day's drive. Very comfortable and clean with friendly hosts. One of the best things was the delicious scallops we had for dinner in the quaint Cornucopia pub!
