Wallaby Ridge Retreat Bed and Breakfast is a four star rated elegant country escape among the western foothills of Tamborine Mountain. Three air-conditioned, self catering suites in this boutique guesthouse share the vista of the Great Dividing Range from their rooms and verandah and all overlook the private vineyard.

Close to wineries, bushwalking in lush rainforest, antique stores, the attractions of Tamborine Mountain, 25 minutes and 40 minutes to Lamington National Park's natural beauty. This idyllic retreat is only 50 minutes from Brisbane and 35 minutes to Broadbeach on the Gold Coast.

Relax in the beautiful common lounge with a book near the combustion stove in winter or enjoy the outdoor room, cook a barbecue and relax next to the sparkling salt pool in summer.

Locality

On the Gold Coast Food and Wine Trail - Tourist Drive 8. Also on the route of "The Rainforest Way".

Close to Albert River Wines (award winning winery), 15 - 20 mins to National Parks (9) and 6 mins to the many attractions of Canungra, 20mins to Tamborine Mountain and 45 mins to World Heritage Lamington National Park. 40 minutes to Gold Coast attractions.

But...just look up and see hangliders, balloons and eagles!

Property

23 acres of designated land for wildlife, we hope to maintain the habitat around us. 2 acres within contain the guesthouse, complete with pool, hilltop spa and vineyard.

Don't be surprised to see wallabies feeding near the birdbath or under the tropical birch outside your window in the early morning. Local possums visit nightly as well (but they haven't worked out how to get on the roof!)

Our elevated aspect takes advantage of the beautiful views and sunsets of the Great Dividing Range.

Local heritage Trail The Drumley Walk celebrates local aboriginal history through a three day trek across Beaudesert, Tamborine Mountain across to Southport. Part of the walk includes story telling by local elders of the history of the area and its people.

Part of the walk takes in the perimeter of our property. The local indigenous tribes were very fit and healty due to the quality and prevalance of bush tucker in this area.

Less than 15minutes drive enjoy an amazing adventure experiences offered by Adventure Parc.

Adventure Parc takes it to the top with 76 elevated challenges spread over four courses of varying difficulty. The courses stretch through almost 1000 towering trees at heights of up to 18 metres above the ground.

Join in more than 30 different jungle games. Some games are suitable for older children, others for adults only. Height requirements apply.

Adventurers must measure at least 1.8 metres from toes to fingertips (with arms outstretched) to complete the green, sensation, red and black courses.
