Holiday house

Kangastay is a large, comfortable and neat holiday house. Well appointed with kitchen, dining, modern bathroom and 3 bedrooms. (Main has King size bed and there are 4 large single beds). All linen and towels supplied. DVD player with movies and CDs, games, cards, books and magazines supplied. Within 20 minutes of Seal Bay, Little Sahara, the Marron Farm and the Koalas at Hanson Bay. Flinders Chase National Park with the NZ seals and Remarkable Rocks is only 40 minutes away. The local General Store sells everything you might need. Vivonne Bay is noted for great fishing at the river, jetty and beach. A top holiday location.

Open since September 2006 Kangastay has been very popular for a weekend break or family holiday, and with local and overseas tourists needing a comfortable base close to Kangaroo Is main attractions. Families enjoy the bushland, beach and river setting "our best ever holiday", "we loved the wildlife, wallabies, echidna, possums and birdlife".

Locality

Vivonne Bay beach has been voted the best in Australia. It has sparkling blue waters and soft white sands set in bushland. Whales may be seen from the shore in winter, at times you will be the only person on the beach. The fishing is easy and rewarding with salmon, whiting, bream and more. Kangaroo Island has remained safe from major development and is a pristine wilderness area where wildlife and wonderful natural features are accessible.

Property

Kangastay can be reached by car from the mainland. The ferry to Kangaroo Island leaves from Cape Jervis SA. A map and directions can be supplied to clients. Flights by Air South and REX airlines to Kingscote leave Adelaide 4 times a day. Rental cars are available at the airport. The roads are in very good condition to all major areas of the Island.
