Moonlight BayB&B Guest House offers friendly,traditional hosted B&B accommodation, in our three beautifully appointed, luxurious,romantic ensuite rooms, with stunning sea views, at Ulverstone in beautiful North West Tasmania. For longer stays we can also offer self catering accommodation to groups of 2-4 couples 4-8 guests ( min 2 night stay is required for self catering option). The Arcadia Suite has a huge king size lace canopy, four poster bed and spacious luxurious ensuite bathroom with clawfoot bath,shower and toilet.
The Strathmore suite has a Queen lace canopy four poster bed with spacious luxurious ensuite with clawfoot bath shower and toilet.The Strathmore suite also has a cosy sitting room which has a double sofa bed which could accommodate another 2 adults if required at an extra charge.
We have also just recently opened The Orontes Bridal/ Spa Suite, which is proving to be very poular with couples for their honeymoon,wedding night, or that Romantic escape.It has a romantic Queen lace canopy 4 poster bedroom ,luxurious spacious double Spa ensuite and the added privacy of it's own beautifully furnished and decorated Ocean Front Lounge room.
We can also offer self catering accommodation to small groups of 4-8 people for longer stays in the Moonlight Bay Holiday house min 2 nights stay required. Please enquire.
A complimentary Continental breakfast is included if requesting B&B accommodation and served at your leisure in the dining room or alfresco on the sundeck and a cooked breakfast is also available for a small extra charge. A Guest Lounge is also available for guests use.
Guest's may wish to relax on our huge sundeck with it's stunning views over the ocean while, listening to the soothing sounds of the waves and sipping a glass of Tasmanian wine, and watching the sun go down, or the Spirit of Tasmania sailing over the horizon. In the warmer summer evenings you may wish to soak in the heated jaccuzi in the secluded walled garden courtyard stargazing with that special person in your life

Locality

Moonlight Bay is a very special B&B for couples. You will want to stay forever.All you have to do is unpack, settle in and relax.we are close to all the tourist attractions of the North and North West of Tasmania including the world famous Cradle Mountain, and historic Stanley which are within an easy hours drive.Also the largest Craft Market in the North of Tasmania is only a few minutes drive around the winding scenic coastal road to Penguin.

Things to see and do around Ulverstone and Penguin.

Take a drive to the spectacular Leven Canyon, walk through the rain forest to the veiwing platform for breathtaking views of the Canyon below.
See the limestone caves and glow worms at Gunns Plains.

Go walking or horseriding in the Dial Ranges.

Take a romantic evening stroll on the beach in front of Moonlight Bay and you will more than likely see some of our cute little fairy penguins returning from a days fishing to feed their young.

Take a scenic coastal train ride on the 1950's vintage Market train from Ulverstone to the olde school market at Penguin which is the largest Craft Market in the North of Tasmania. Try some of our great restaurants,and cafes which are all within a few minutes drive of Moonlight Bay. Browse through our gift shops and antique shops or visit a winery for some great cool climate wines.Swim or walk on our safe clean beaches,and drive through our green patchwork hills of the hinterland.

See our beautiful rich soil and see daffodils, tulips, and poppies, growing in abundance in the spring and Summer months, and sample some of our beautiful berries and huge luscious cherries that you can buy from our farm gates.Or perhaps you would like to sample some cheeses or gourmet chocolate in our cheese and chocolate factories There is so much to see and do in this beautiful part of Tasmania so stay a while,relax, dont rush, so you can really apreciate it all.

Moonlight Bay Guest House is on the scenic coastal drive between Ulverstone and Penguin at 141 Penguin Road, and is situated an hour and a quarter from Launceston. and fifteen minutes from Devonport,Spirit of Tasmania ferries and Airport.

From Cradle Mountain drive to Burnie and follow the Bass Hwy to Ulverstone. We are Aproximately 20 minutes from Burnie.
