Cottage, Holiday house

Bridge Cottage welcomes you to Toowoomba: The ambience of a fully self-contained timber Federation home offering 21st century convenience and comfort.

Enjoy the high ceilings and VJ walls of another century as well as the original sash windows. But you won't need to compromise on modern conveniences.

There are three bedrooms: a double bedroom with reverse cycle air conditioning and a queen size bed. This bedroom opens onto a private sunroom for that leisurely morning coffee; then there's a large and roomy twin share bedroom with a feature bay window; and a single bedroom that is cosy and overlooks the treed side garden.

There's a modern, fully equipped, good sized family kitchen with built in laundry, as well as a bright family dining room with picture windows overlooking the side and back gardens.

The lounge room is very comfortable with reverse cycle airconditioning, gas heating for those chilly Toowoomba winter evenings, digital TV and DVD player. The bathroom is light and spacious with shower, vanity and toilet. In all, we're sure that you'll appreciate the simple, elegant decor of Bridge Cottage.

The generous garden area also provides a carport that is not visible from the street.

The Cottage has solar power and solar hot water, to reduce your carbon footprint while you enjoy Toowoomba. A top of the range water filter in the kitchen gives you peace of mind about drinking water quality.

In keeping with our philosophy of a more sustainable life style, you can even enjoy the proximity of a small orchard and our pet chickens.

Locality

Bridge Cottage is centrally located. Queens Park with its beautiful gardens and well equipped children's playgrounds is only five to ten minute walk away - and a very pleasant stroll through the park will lead you to the CBD with its shopping, theatres and coffee shops.

We are conveniently close to Toowoomba's hospitals and private schools.

Cobb and Co Museum is literally around the corner and the TAFE College is only a few doors up the street. If you don't feel like driving further afield, then catch a bus to the city centre right outside the front door.

Toowoomba's famous Weis Restaurant is a very short drive away, or just a little further on you can enjoy the sweeping views and gastronomic delights of Picnic Point.

Rooms and rates

Our basic daily rate is $140 for one or two people, minimum 2 night stay. Each additional person is $20 per night. Stay longer and pay less - the base rate reduces if you stay for 6 or more nights. For example, stay 7 nights but pay for 5 nights only! Enquire about our special arrangements for babies and toddlers.
