Summercloud Cottage (for up to maximum of 4 people) nestles amidst the 36 acre property 'Couria Creek' in the foothills of Mt Dromedary at historic Tilba Tilba on the Eurobodalla Coast of NSW.

It is individually located so as to ensure peaceful and private accommodation for your short getaway or extended stay. The cottage is self-catering and modern, with high ceilings and spacious lounge/dining areas, cosy wood fire, timber kitchen, comfy beds, tiled bathroom, and sunny verandah with stunning views over the property. Just sit back, relax with an afternoon cuppa, read a good book, as birdsong serenades you. Light refreshments, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits are provided.

If you enjoy a walk, take time to wander around the property 'Couria Creek'. Meet some of the locals, gentle alpacas, friendly donkeys, or feed the ducks and geese. Our abundant birdlife (over 95 species) is amazing, with brilliant King Parrots and Rosella, soaring Eagles, tiny Thornbills and Blue Wrens, to name just a few.

A stay at Summercloud Cottage and 'Couria Creek' is a truly magic experience and you can be assured of a peaceful, relaxing getaway.

Summercloud Cottage provides a SMOKE-FREE environment for our guests. Also we do not accept domestic pets on the property.

Situated just 15 minutes south of Narooma, 5 minutes from historic Tilba, 15 minutes from seaside Bermagui and 15 minutes north of rural Cobargo, 'Couria Creek' offers a great diversity of scenery and places to visit.

Pristine beaches at Bermagui and Mystery Bay, lakes and 3 National Parks within 5 minutes, historic Tilba with arts and crafts, Foxglove Spire Gardens, wineries, cafes, galleries, antiques and more. Go horse riding or play a round of golf nearby.

Visit Montague Island, go whale watching (in season), scenic Wagonga Inlet cruise, 4WD tours with Umbarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre, the list is just endless.

'Couria Creek' is one of the most spectacular properties you will find anywhere comprising 36 stunning acres. Magnificent tree ferns line the little gravel road. Tall ironbarks atop the ridge, overlooking pastures and bushland. Views are just superb. The 'tinkle' of the bellbirds. Gorgeous alpacas graze silently. A more peaceful environment you could not wish for. Sheer bliss!!

Our property 'Couria Creek' has over 95 species of birds, with a full list provided. This list also includes sightings of shore and estuary birds, birds of prey and more. Close by there are rivers and lakes, beaches and estuaries all of which have healthy populations of local and migratory birds. Three National Parks are located nearby for you to observe many birds.

Our 36 acre property 'Couria Creek' is a pretty place to wander about. You can walk through to a nearby National Park and also there are 3 National Parks located within 10 minutes drive. Also State Forests. Gulaga Mountain is a challenging 5 hour return walk/climb. Information on local walks is provided.

Eco-friendly

All water supplied to the cottage is rainwater stored in tanks. Guests are asked to conserve water at all times. We separate and recycle all products that are classifed as 'recyclable'. Guests are required to participate in this program and are usually very happy to do so. All green waste, vegie and fruit scraps, left-overs and bread are gobbled up by our free-range chooks, who then produce just the best eggs!

Our animals are moved from one paddock to another, on a rotation basis, thus allowing areas to spell and regrow. The property has much bushland, and any Eucalupt regrowth is left and encouraged. Many varieties of Eucalypt, native shrubs, wildflowers and intricate fungi and lichen are host to a variety of birdlife, wildlife, reptiles and insects.

'Couria Creek' is a small hobby farm with alpacas, donkeys, cattle, goat, geese, ducks and hens. You can spend time in the paddocks with the animals and also join in at feed time in the afternoon when you will have the chance to meet all the animals. Your host will talk with you regarding any safety aspects and restrictions with the animals. Staying on a property amongst the animals is a really wonderful experience.
