A unique accommodation experience that is close enough to York (less than 10 minutes drive) to enjoy the many facilities the town has to offer, yet surrounded by beautiful Avon Valley countryside.

The Map Room is a first floor balcony room with ensuite bathroom comprising claw foot bath, separate shower, toilet and vanity.

Opening onto the landscaped gardens, the Garden Room is a ground floor room that has a generous ensuite comprising shower, toilet and vanity.

A delicious cooked breakfast is served at a time of your choosing in what was the the sanctuary of the old church.
Romantic and peaceful perfectly describes the Tipperary Church experience.

Locality

Located 11kms from York in the direction of Northam, Tipperary Church is close to hot air ballooning and skydiving venues as well as the many heritage experiences of historic York itself.

Property

Tipperary Church was built in 1892 to serve the religious needs of a small community centred on historic Tipperary Farm, one of the first inland farms in Western Australia. Functioning as a church until the late 1960s, the building was damaged in the 1968 Meckering earthquake and was deconsecrated shortly afterwards. It was later sold and over a period of nearly thirty years was transformed into a comfortable private residence surrounded by landscaped gardens and rolling Avon Valley countryside.

The Lodgings at Tipperary Church only has two rooms and are 10ks away from the nearest town. The rooms and the gardens are unsuitable for children. There are many quiet spots in the grounds where couples can sit and enjoy the surrounding views and the night sky.

Northam and Hot Air Ballooning is only 26k away,an easy run in the early morning. If breakfast is not required we can offer a discount.

We are a very short drive from Skydive Express and our guests can enjoy watching the sky diving in the distance from the comefort of the verandah.

Our lovely gardens are suitable for the small intimate wedding and we have additional parking for 30 cars.
