"The Country House is a fantastic place to stay - and children are particularly well-looked after. Our kids loved the pool; the wraparound verandah where they rode their bikes and were allowed to draw in chalk on the concrete; the secure grassed area; the cows; and the collection of books. The adults loved the fact that their children were so easily entertained and so were able to enjoy the beautiful views and breezes from the verandah. A lovely stay!"

"What a fantastic place for a family gathering. It accommodated our family group of 8 adults and 2 children perfectly. We had a "Xmas in July" feast and found the house extremely well equipped.

The owners were extremely welcoming and even discovered when we went to light a fire that they had already stacked the fireplaces and all you had to do was strike the match.

The kids loved roaming the paddocks and had a ball riding their bikes up Gills Lane."

"We had a great experience at the Country House at Brunkerville.
We had a group of five adults and three kids under 6. The Country House accommodated us well, with one spare double room to boot. The more senior couple were able to sleep in a "wing" of the house with their own amenities.
The kid's accommodation is gorgeous and situated neatly between clusters of double rooms. Quality linen and bedding is provided.
The kids loved the wide wrap-around verandah. Our four year old practiced her pedalling as we supervised with a drink in the shade.
The house was large enough for individuals to find solitude away from the activity of the kids when required.
We consider the Country House represents good value.
Brunkerville itself is small, but you can get milk, bread and great chips from the local servo (2 mins). Cessnock is about twenty minutes, or Toronto township is fifteen.
Overall, the Country House is big and homely, with that warm "lived-in" feel that helps you consider yourself more guest than tenant."
