Cottage, Holiday house

Our cottage is fully self contained with tiled floors in the main open plan living area, so your pet can live comfortably inside with you.
The main living area is open plan with a 4 seater round wooden table in the kitchen/dining area and a cosy corner lounge suite in the TV area. There is also an open fireplace recently installed. The bedroom is completely seperate and carpeted for warmth. The bathroom and toilet are in the one very spacious room, with a high pressure shower.
There is undercover outdoor living with a 4 seater table plus an additional outdoor area with another table that basks in the afternoon sun. Both areas are concreted and overlook a lovely grassed section where your dog can play safely, within a fully fenced yard.
The cottage overlooks a very secluded bush setting and is 40 metres away from the main holiday cottage and our own home. You could choose to spend your entire stay in privacy once you have closed your own yard gate or you may wish to meet our other guests for a chat or dog play?

Locality

Our guest can not believe how close all the tourist atractions are to our property.
You will be staying on 3 acres of beautiful bush and valley surroundings and feel as if you have left the world behind. However you will jump in your car and be at the main highway exit in 5 minutes. You will also be at the most spectacular beach on the Gold Coast in 8 minutes and in the centre of Surfers Paradise in 20 minutes.
Tallebudgera Valley is the most beautiful and yet to be discovered hinterland on the Gold Coast. The locals would love to keep it that way and you will understand why once you have experienced its beauty yourself.

Property

Our property consists of one other 3 bedroom holiday cottage and our own cottage where we live with our 2 german shepherds.
All 3 cottages are seperate dwellings and are approxiamately 30 metres apart.
There is a shared swimming pool which is set on wonderful surroundings and large enough to swim laps.
We generally only accept 3 nights minimum but 2 nights will be considered
with a cleaning fee of $25.00 attached.

Our cottage is completely one level with only a slight lip in the entrance doorway. The only drawback is that there is a step going into the shower.

Beach

Relax by the pool after the beach.

Our closet beach is famous Burleigh Heads which is an 8 minute drive away. We also have Palm Beach and Currumbin 10 minutes drive away.

Birdwatching

Bird-watching available on-site, Binoculars provided.

Although we are not professional bird watches, the birds that visit our surrounding bush are beautiful. You could certainly spend considerable time watching the various species.

Bushwalking & wilderness

Bushwalking and wilderness experiences located nearby, Located near a National Park.

We are happy to provide information on all the gorgeous bush walks in our area, most of which are only known by the locals.

Family Friendly

Plastic crockery and cutlery available for children, Games/videos for children under 5 available, Games/videos for children between 5 and 12 available, Games/videos for children over 12 available, Fenced/safe outdoor play area, Babysitting services can be arranged.

We have lovely grasssed areas for children to run around on, both in and outside the fenced area. There is also a fully fenced swimming pool shared by our guests in the main cottage.

we have a gorgeous old horse who loves a cuddle and a bannana. We also have 2 very friendly german shepherds who are always kenn to play if guests are willing..

We have 2 extremely good Golf Courses in Tallebudgera Valley.

Horse riding

There are 3 very good horse riding facilities with 15 minutes and 40 minutes driving.

Hot Air Ballooning

Hot air ballooning available nearby.

There are 2 Air Ballooning facilities within 15 mins drive from here but it is imperative that you book in advance.

Pet friendly

Cats are permitted, Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Large dogs (34 kg or heavier) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside, Secure, fully fenced running area, Other domesticated animals reside at the property.

We love all dogs and our 2 german shepherds do as well. Don't worry though if your dog is unsociable he can stay safely behind his fence and keep to himself. Our dogs are used to that as well.
Our only request is that your dog does not continuously bark, especially if he is left behind on his own. We find most dogs are really well behaved and owners are very respectful of keeping their barking to a minimum.

Winter Holiday

Log fire.

It does drop down to 3 degrees at night down here in the valley and our little cottage is very cosy. Our log fire is actually provided outside in a webber, where you can dress up warm and sit around an outside fire, just like camping. Guests love this as it is quite a novelty especially for children.
