Attractions and activities vary from Freycinet National Park at Coles Bay, the berry farm, bark mill and vineyards to secluded beaches, golf, tennis, fishing, cruises, kayaking, scenic flights and unforgettable walks through national parks. All rooms in our 1880s random bluestone cottage have panoramic views over extensive gardens (surrounded by dry stone walls and featuring a Celtic rose bed) to Great Oyster Bay and the dramatic Hazards at Freycinet with Wineglass Bay just beyond.

The east coast of Tasmania, is a spectacular 252 kilometre coastal journey from the Bay of Fires, north of St Helens, to the spectacular Freycinet Peninsula, to historical Maria Island in the south. The journey is along one of Australia's most magnificent coastal stretches and is easily accessible from both Hobart and Launceston.

See pristine, sandy beaches, breathtaking ocean views, rainforest, fossil-filled cliffs, azure waters, pink granite peaks and famous national parks. Savour superb food and delicious wines to tempt any gourmet, and experience an island penal settlement of the 19th century. These are just some of the enticements of the East Coast.

Our historic 9 acre property was settled by the Rapp family from Germany in the early 1880s.

The original cottage has been restored to hopefully reflect the ambience and aura of the working farm of yesteryear with original homestead, barn and bakehouse.
