Locality

If you want to be in the heart of the action, there is no place like it. Oxford Street and Gay Sydney is 100 meters on your left. This apartment is unique, stunning and on Crown Street. You have the beach 15 minutes away, the city 10 minutes to your left. You have the clubs, the restaurants, the cafes and the funky designer's with their innovative boutiques Aero, L.A. design, Chee soon & Fitzerald just to name a few. Young chefs have moved here since 2006.
The Marquee, a French restaurant is 2 min from the apartment and will amaze you.
You could try Assiette, another French one, Tabou, Foveaux, or you can eat at the Bentley, or at Bill Granger or Kylie Kwong. You've got grocers, delis, and florists. If you are not so loaded you can eat Thai food for $7.00, Indian for $10, a delicious kebab from the old Turks. There is an
extraordinary range of eateries here – from tiny Lebanese takeaways to upmarket Modern Australian restaurants
and some excellent pub dining rooms, such as the Dolphin, the Clock, the Hopetoun, offering meals at very
reasonable prices.

Surry Hills is one of Sydney's oldest suburbs. It is a colourful and diverse suburb, with well known art galleries; some of the city best antiques shop dealers and fashion and rag trade outlets. The main Surry Hills shopping strip is Crown Street, popular for its offbeat clothing, homewares, bookshops and food store. Enjoy an evening of quiet contemplation at a Himalayan restaurant or visit the Shannon Reserve on the first saturday of the month for clothing, gifts, books and bric-a-brac. If you love art enjoy discovering Brett Whiteley's studio in Raper Street. This old factory was the artist's home and studio prior to his death in June 1992. It houses a selection of paintings of this renowned modern Australian painter. Or visit the Nicholson Museum with it's impressive display of Greek, Assyrian, Egyptian.
