"The property was perfect. It has very high fences and large yard which is great if you have big dog. The cottage itself was lovely and comfortable and really close to beach. Will be back very soon! Nice and close to Purple Hen winery. Great range of books and magazines showcasing to local area. The owner was very prompt and helpful. Highly recommended.

"We had a relaxing time at Phillip Island and the best thing was that we could take our dog. He loved running along the beach and exploring the backyard. The open fire was lovely to come home too after a typical Melbourne winter day. It met all of our needs."

"Very friendly owner who was very accommodating, the toys and child set up was excellent. Our little dog was in heaven in the garden, chasing rabbits. We all enjoyed the beach and even though we had very cold, rainy weather, we were snug and comfortable by the fire. My 3 year old wants to go back and certainly did not want to leave, neither did we. "

"This is a really lovely place. Close to the beach, clean, bright and airy, comfy couches, good cooking pots and pans instead of the old op shop garb you often get at holiday homes and "drum roll" ....there is a dish washer!!!!. you can take your doggy too. ( Walter the dachshund says thank you for the big garden to run around in) I feel like not submitting this review because more people will know about this real find and we will never get a booking again;-)"

"A nice relaxing time had by myself, hubby and our 2x "girls" (Staffy dogs). A nice cosy place on cold nights. Plenty of heating and an open fire. Lots of privacy. Everything provided (towels excluded). The beach and rockpools at the end of the street were terrific for our daily walks. A good place to get away from the hustle and bustle."

"We had a wonderful time - the cottage had everything we needed (even a vacuum cleaner!). The size of the backyard was great for the dogs, and having the beach just a small walk up the road was terrific. It was also nice that we were able to have the dogs indoors, because it rained a couple of times while we were there. Thank you very much!"

"We had a wonderful time at Hopetoun Cottage on Phillip Island. The cottage was close to the beach where we took our grandson to play. He loved the rock pools and also loved spotting the many rabbits at night with his torch. The cottage was comfortable and a perfect size for our family of four. The large outdoor setting was perfect for our meals that we cooked on the BBQ. We enjoyed our stay.

"Great central location. Very comfortable and spacious. Enough room to accommodate different needs. Huge backyard. High fence means privacy. Self contained with all modcons. My aging mum had her private space and my active toddler had room to move and be as loud as he felt like without disturbing her. Close to surf beach which my son enjoyed exploring the rock pools. "
