This is a luxury Waterfront reserve house on arguably the most beautiful stretch of foreshore on Lake Macquarie. Extensive outdoor entertaining as well as a huge balcony with s/s bbq to dine and toast summer sunsets you will never forget.

Listed rates are for 4 guests. House comfortably sleeps 8. For guests over 4 there is an extra fee charged per night per guest to cover laundry and amenity expenses.

WOW - what a great place to stay. The setting is fantastic and the house is just perfect. You can see spectacular sunsets from just about every room. We have stayed in many places on the lake and non have been better than Sandy Beach Waterfront Retreat.

Locality

Sandy Beach Summerland Point Lake Macquarie has one of the most beautiful foreshores on Lake Macquarie. From the beautiful sandy shore directly in front of the house you can swim, water-ski, sail, fish, canoe/kayak or just lay around soaking up the atmosphere. For the fishermen, this location is perfect for bream and flathead.

After a great day on the water there is nothing like a bbq on the oversized balcony with friends over a few drinks while taking in the best sunsets you will ever see. (see photo gallery - all shots taken from the house)

At Sandy Beach Waterfront Retreat you will not be woken by the noise of traffic, but to the sights and sounds of lorikeets, rosellas and cockatoos. At night you are likely to see possums or hoot owls in the gumtrees. You can grab a torch and maybe catch a few prawns while wading along the waterfront.

Directly in front of the house is a stunning foreshore walk to the local village. This is a popular morning ritual where you can pick up fresh brewed coffee and the morning papers for breakfast on the balcony. The village, which is also opposite the boat ramp is where you will find the local store, newsagency, hairdresser, take-away fish 'n chips, bottle shop, Conrads restaurant, post office, petrol station etc. Fuel is sold here at very competitive prices.

For those who bring a boat, the all weather boat-ramp is one minute away by car or two minutes by water. Boats are easily beached on the sandy shore in front of the house.

Downstairs:
Rumpus room or huge 4th bedroom. Contains 2 sofa beds, flat screen tv, has direct access to outdoor entertaining area and comes with own bathroom. Popular as teenage retreat. This room faces the water and is accessed from balcony.

Your stay includes 5 star beds fitted with luxury bed linen. Towels, soaps, and other incidentals are also supplied to make settling in easy.

Extensive library of dvds, books and board games.The popular Sandy Beach Reserve Picnic Area is only 300 metres away along the foreshore and has a buoyed swimming area and children's playground.

Summerland Point has a licensed Tennis Club or 5 mins by car is Gwandalan Bowling Club with a Chinese Restaurant. For a bit more excitement there is always the Doyalson RSL (Doylo) or Swansea RSL (both have bus pick up service)

About 10 minutes away there is the beautiful Munmorah State Conservation Area that gives acces to beautiful beaches (Frazer and Birdie) picnic areas, walking tracks and spectacular ocean views.

The Watagan Mountains (day trip) are a pristine natural wilderness area combining national park and state forest.

Catherine Hill Bay - about a 15 minute drive. Great pub, great historic mining village, beautiful surfing beach.

The Newcastle Foreshore and its famous beaches are only 40 minutes away. The Entrance is about 30 minutes, Hunter Valley Vineyards 50 mins, local surf beaches including Frazer Park, Catherine Hill Bay, Caves Beach only 10 minutes away, Wattagan Mountains 20 minutes away, major shopping centres 20

Sandy Beach Waterfront Retreat is extremely popular for families. The front yard has direct access to a sandy beach for kids and toddlers where they can swim or splash about in safety. Boat ramp is 30 seconds by car or 2 minutes by boat. Your vessel may be easily beached on the beautiful sandy beach in front of the property.

This home is truly luxurious. The 3 bedrooms upstairs are 5 star with luxurious bedding and each has direct access to a bathroom. Expansive waterfront views from just about every room. The large oversized balcony provides the perfect place to dine, entertain, socialise and watch the magnificient views. Once inside there is a very large open plan lounge dining and kitchen area. Kitchen has double wall oven, double side by side fridge/freezer, dishwasher, scan pan cookware and comes fully equipped.

Sandy Beach bay is the most popular spot on Lake Macquarie for waterskiing/wakeboarding. The predominent summer breeze is north east. This bay is totally protected providing glass like conditions. You can beach your boat on the sand and picnic on the waterfront under the trees or have your lunch on the balcony while watching all other boating activities. Then in the evening dine on the balcony watching the best sunsets you will ever see.
