Cottage

The superbly appointed private and exclusive two bedroom cottage features:

Generously stocked kitchen with array of fresh local goodies for the heartiest of breakfasts.

Digital TV, DVD / Video and Stereo with a fabulous selection of music and movies

Bathroom with luxurious claw foot bath, bath crystals plus a separate shower.

Cosy wood fire to greet you in winter and a reverse-cycle air conditioner to keep you comfortable at all times.

Two double bedrooms with a queen bed in the main bedroom with French doors opening to the balcony and a double bed and bunk in the second, all supplied with the finest quality linen.

Panoramic views of the surrounding valley and BBQ on the deck.

Locality

Strath Valley View B&B now has a new local attraction just recently opened very close by. Take a miniature Steam Train ride in the foothills of the Tallarook Ranges with tight curves and steep grades. Visit the web page www.kerrisdalemtnrailway.com.au

Also close to the cottage is the Hume and Hovell Cricket ground. Not just your average cricket ground, this ground is surrounded by a white picket fence and is an oasis of spectacular cricket wonder. Stroll around the rose gardens surrounding the Pavilion and also take a look at the fabulous cricket memorabilia that has been collected and shown on display in the Pavilion. The cottage Strath Valley View is a stand alone cottage so privacy and amazing views of the Valley ov a Thousand Hills will astound and visitor. We have a liquor licence so we are able to offer local wines for sale with complimentarty Port and we also have a fantastic Nespresso Coffee machine with a variety of coffee blends provided and a selection of Twinnings tea.

Family Friendly

Portacot available, Plastic crockery and cutlery available for children, Games/videos for children under 5 available, Games/videos for children between 5 and 12 available, Games/videos for children over 12 available, Fenced/safe outdoor play area, Children's playground equipment.

Our cottage, Strath Valley View, stands alone on a beautiful hill side with magnificent views for the parents to enjoy and a fantastic cubby in the back yard to keep the children entertained. There is also plenty of DVD's and video's available for children of all ages and games and puzzles for those rainy days. The cottage is also fenced maily to keep the cute cow's out from eating the garden. There are fantastic walks on our property to exhaust everyone and cows chickens and horses roaming around A visit to a the neary by Kerrisdale Mountain Railway will entertain all ages.

Children 0 to 5 years stay free and 5 to 15 years are just an additional $30.00 per night.

Farmland Experiences

Farm animals live on the property, Cattle, Chickens, Horses, Dogs, Guests able to interact with the farm animals.

At Strath Valley View guests can collect their own eggs from the chook shed or feed some grain to the chickens. The Horse and Pony love an apple or carrot and the cattle a beautiful unique Belted Galloway's which are black with a white stripe around the belly. The cows are a very distinct breed and can make really cute viewing and wander freely around the property.

Fishing spots available nearby, Local fishing knowledge available, Boat storage/parking available onsite.

Strath Valley View B and B is located 10 minutes from the magnificent Goulbern River and a stones throw away from the King Parrot Creek. We have local fishing brochures in the cottage which point out the best fishing locations.

Yes this is our own property. The cotttage, "Strath Valley View B and B" is a stand alone cedar cottage resting on a hill side with privacy and magnificent views.

Heritage Trail

The township of Yea which is approximately 30 kilometres from Strath Creek has historic buildings and trails throughout the area. The Cheriot Tunnel is a fantastic disused brick train tunnel and the township also has a set Heritage Walk with brochures to direct you.

Romantic getaway

The cottage, Strath Valley View B and B has magnificent views of the Valley of a Thousand Hills with local wines to sit back and relax together. There is a deep claw foot bath with luxurious bath crystals and home made soaps and then for the winter months just sitting in front of the wood fire just completes the experience.

A bonus for coffe lovers is the Delonghi Nespresso Coffe machine with a variety of complimentary coffee blends to try and Port to follow.

Open clear sky's, stars that go on and on with plenty of fresh air, peace and quiet and a stand alone cottage in a uniquie surrounding is all a romantic couple could wish for.

Winter Holiday

Log fire, Winter temperatures usually below 0 degrees.

Strath Creek gets very cold, misty and beautifully cosy in winter with a log fire and lots of blankets and electric blankets to keep you comfortable. The skies are endless with stars that go on and on and the hills are green with glorious walks on our own property .
