"The best family Christmas we have ever had. Quiet, relaxing, yet close to all amenities. We loved the wide open walls, looking into the peaceful dune forest, and sat around the BBQ pit every night, weather permitting. Even our 18 and 19 year old children loved the place!

"We had a wonderful week at your place. First night was very cold, windy and we wondered what we were doing in a house designed to be opened up. But it warmed up and we even had a few swims at Cylinders. And the house felt great in the mornings when it was full of sunshine. Did some walks in the national park, over the sandblow and around the headland. Saw some whales. Roasted chestnuts in the fire. Ate a lot of prawns (from Carl) and left plenty of empty bottles in the bin. It was hard to get back into city life after the slow easy pace on the point."

"Great! unique, especially the japanese styled opening walls, made us feel like we were camped in the bush, lovely. Enjoyed the "undeveloped" environment on Straddie, heaps better than the "highrises" on Gold Coast. The beaches are outstanding. We will come back someday."

"We had a sibling renunion at Aboud Abode for 3 nights. It wasn't enough and took alot of willpower to leave. We absolutely loved it. Each night we made a bbq, lit the firepit and lazed around, during the day we went off wandering to the many beautiful beaches and sites nearby. The house is very well equipped and we found everything we needed to make the stay an absolute delight. The external walls are like giant doors which swing open, providing a real connection with the surrounding bushland. I highly recommended this location for a private home-away-from home kind of feel."

"Fantastic location and unique design. A sort of sophisticated tree house! Wanting to stay somewhere slightly unusual, in easy access to the beach, shops, tennis and restaurants then this holiday home is highly recommended. Set amongst the trees with beautiful wooden floors and open plan kitchen, fitted bathroom as well as outdoor shower (for those who enjoy being close to nature!) This house offers all you could need and does so with its own unique style."
