Early C19th high backed, ornately carved English oak bed (Californian KS), original hand coloured steel engravings c1868, hand painted central rib vaulted ceilings, stone spiral staircase, mullioned and lancet windows, stone flagged floor and walls, with spacious two person ensuite corner spa bath, heated towels rails and ground floor kitchenette area with stainless steel appliances. C19th Georgian high back upholstered fireside double chair and C18th English carved oak coffer complete this romantic fairytale setting.
The shutters, designed for protection against enemy sieges, provide seclusion and protection from the elements when snugly tucked up in bed by the roaring log fire. Open the French windows and step onto the balcony overlooking grazing sheep.Descend the winding stone stairs to breakfast.

Accommodation overview
An amazing experience! Climb the spiral staircase, marvel at the stone flagged floors and the Angaston white marble and arrive at the sleeping/living sitting area, with nine sides and a vaulted ceiling.

The 19th century oak bed is a king-size wonder, with a goose-down topper. Luxuriate in this wonderful bed, with quality designer sheets embroidered with a medieval coat of arms, with the open fire blazing (if you wish) and enjoy the big LCD flat screen TV/DVD/BluRay. Beyond the arched doors is a Juliet balcony – the perfect romantic place for honeymooners like us! This is a large and impressive room, beautifully appointed and stuffed with antiques. The ensuite is has a two-person spa bath – continuing the romantic theme.
