Oakdene heritage listed accommodation is situated in the peaceful town of St Marys in the highlands just 10 minutes from the beautiful East Coast beaches of Tasmania. Enjoy mountain and forest walks or you can try the challenging climb to the top of St Patricks Head, or the more accessible South Sister Peak, for stunning forest and coastal views, there are also spectacular views from Mt Elephant.

Oakdene semi self contained accommodation is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Our private suite includes an ensuite with a seperate shower and claw foot bath, breakfast room containing a microwave and coffee making facilities including a plunger.
The main room is appointed with a queen size antique bed, TV and stereo. Enjoy a local wine in front of the wood fire.

Nestled in the East Coast highlands only minutes from St Patricks Head and South Sister walking tracks and 10 minutes to the beautiful East Coast Beaches. Easy driving distance to St Helens, Binalong Bay and Wineglass bay's.This is a great place to base yourself whilst you explore the sunny East Coast of Tasmania. Other attractions in close proximity include waterfalls, vine yards, a wildlife park or admire the historical buildings in the area. Enjoy pancakes at the Famous Mt Elephant Pancakes or a wholesome meal at award winning Purple Possum wholefoods cafe

This Heritage listed accommodation has been tastefully restored with supreme comfort and detail, all in keeping with the original era of 1880. The chandeliers, claw foot bath, stain glass windows, original cast iron bed and warm fireplace add to the warmth and ambience of this self contained getaway. Also to be appreciated are the beautifully manicured gardens - enjoy a picnic lunch with a glass of wine and feed the ducks on the rivulet. If your lucky, you may also spot the resident platypus in the rivulet boardering the property.
