Less than 2 hours drive from Sydney but feels like another world. Pack the family in the car, or bring friends. Experience the romance of the free car ferry across the historic Hawkesbury River. Cook up a storm in the modern Miele kitchen then go for a bush walk, followed by a hot spa before BBQ'ing up lunch. Go down and check out the river or head into St Albans for a coffee and a look at the art gallery. Sounds good? It is all waiting at Pelican Bend.

Locality

Perched on the banks of the Macdonald River, a tributary of the Hawkesbury River is the charming town of St Albans. St Albans sits about 100 kilometers north west of Sydney. Access across the Hawkesbury River is by car ferry- a five minute trip where you sit in your car and drive on and off. St Albans is in the MacDonald Valley, the setting of mountain bike competitions, mountain runs, fishing competions, river cruises and just plain old fashioned visits to the historic pub for a drink or a meal.The area is full of history and stories from Australia's past. Under two hours from Sydney but another world!

Property

Pelican Bend is a charming renovated cottage only 5 minutes from historic St Albans and 15 minutes from the expansive St Albans Common. The cottage has two TVs and a DVD plus a CD player and a lovely ambience. It has a flourishing vegetable garden and gorgeous garden. Eat inside, on the verandah or in the garden. The kitchen is modern and the bathroom stylish. Enjoy!
