Cottage, Holiday house, Holiday unit

Cosy, beachy 3 bedroom beachfront cottage, on a pristine clean, sandy and safe swimming beach. 1st bedroom has queen bed, 2nd room has 2 single bunks, 3rd bedroom has double bed. Cottage is an older style but clean, comfortable and very user-friendly. Great sea views, log fire, full laundry and kitchen, inc microwave and toasted sandwich maker and new fridge. Location is private and tranquil, the crashing waves send you off to noddy land, after a good wine in front of the fire. Very good double boat ramp in protected Lune River, quite close by. Day trips everywhere. Great way to get back to nature. Local pub has great meals, good fishing from the beach and the pier, and near the boat ramp. Biggest oysters you will ever see, for free off the rocks at low tide, or high tide if you are game enough. Drive south from Hobart takes 75 minutes on a beautiful country drive, down through the magnificent Huon Valley. The Huon Valley is rapidly developing into a gourmet food and wine trail.

Locality

Far south Tasmania, down through the magnificent Huon Valley. 75 minutes south from Hobart. Part of the world famous D'Entrecastaux Channel system. Views to Bruny Island. Nearby day trips to Hastings limestone caves and thermal pool, Cockle Creek - the most southern part of Australia, Hartz mountain range with lots of good walks (snow in winter). Tahune air walk (Heritage listed....must see). Ida Bay scenic tourist railway from Lune River to Deep Hole. (Take a champagne picnic lunch) Salamanca Market in Hobart every Saturday until 2pm.

Things to see and do.

This area has become known as "Far South Tasmania"

It is an unique part of the world and there are some very interesting things to do that will drag you away from the beach.
