Holiday house, Self-contained apartment

Imagine sitting on the sunny deck watching the sun glistening on the water and the waves lapping the sand or strolling along the pristine beach at sunset or curling up on the sofa with a good book in front of the roaring wood fire. You will think you are in paradise. This comfortable 4 bedroom seaside home offers everything you will need for a quite retreat from your busy schedule, a family holiday or a fishing trip with your mates.
Set over two levels with external access to the downstairs bedrooms, the accommodation offers two double bedrooms (1 queen/1 double) and two twin rooms, the house is fully self contained with beautiful bed linen, all your
kitchen requirements, wood heater, digital TV,
DVD.
Go fishing in the rowing dinghy provided or explore the many nearby bush walking oportunities.

Locality

Just 90 minutes South of Hobart and set in the Far South of the stunning Huon Valley in the small fishing town of Southport.
Excellent for fishing, water sports or exploring the many places of interest nearby, including Hastings Caves, Cockle Creek or, if you are feeling energetic, you can take the world renowned South Coast walk, an easy 1/2 day walk

Property

A beautifully presented 4 bedroom beachside home with everything you need to make your stay memorable. Designer linen on your beds, fully equipped kitchen including cook books, digital TV, DVD and good selection of DVD's to watch, fenced yard, rowing dinghy (no life jackets) so you can catch a feed of flat heads in the sheltered bay, boat ramp 5 minutes drive if you bring your own boat, room for several vehicles and your boat in the fenced yard. For families with young children, please note that the downstairs bedrooms have external access only.

Southport Beachouse is situated opposite the beautiful King Fish Beach and Southport Bay. You can walk along the pristine beach or go for a swim in the crystal clear waters. The bay is a safe swimming beach with no under tows. Always make sure your children are supervised on the beach.

Canoeing & Kayaking

Guests welcome to bring their own canoe/kayak, Secure storage facilities available, Located on waterfront, Less than 5 minutes walk to water, Less than 5 minutes drive to water.

Southport Bay and Lune River offer popular and extensive waterways for canoeing and kayaking. You can set off on your adventure from the beach in front of your accommodation. Ample secure storage for your equipment.

Scuba diving

Scuba diving gear available for rent nearby.

Scuba divers paradise- Southport Bay, Southport Island, the Acteons and the Lower Channel offer year round recreational diving experiences. You should have little difficulty in bagging your quota of abalone and crayfish (in season) or many scale fish then take them bag to your accommodation to cook and enjoy.
