"I was extremely impressed with our stay with Macleay River Houseboats. The staff were extremely helpful, Geoff even came out to South West Rocks with a replacement anchor after we lost an anchor in heavy swell.

After researching the cost of houseboat hire, I found that Macleay River Houseboats were extremely good value for money. Just out of interest, the bond and running costs for OTHER houseboat companies I found was excessive. For two people this houseboat was just right.

We were so impressed that we will be returning later for another stay with them.

By the way, my husband and I were the first honeymooners and I would recommend this company as a honeymoon stay, especially if you and your loved one are into fishing.

A special note, Riverside Tavern at South West Rocks, is an excellent place for lunch and the Boatshed at South West Rocks is a good place to moor while visiting the township.

Gladstone is an interesting village to visit, pity we didn't have more time."
