"The best thing about Vainui was a) the view and b) the comfortable house. We came away feeling quite refreshed even though we were only there for 3 nights. We found the isolation wonderful."

"Vainui was beautiful. The standard of this place is fantastic! The views across the lake are magnificent as is the wildlife that visit.....it is a very serene place to relax and unwind. We visited the bowls club a couple of nights for dinner - found the place very friendly and good value for money.
So many lovely beaches and places to go to - sit on the beach, go to the movies, visit the lighthouse - we walked up to the light house and JUST as we got to the top, it decided to POUR down with rain which was a pretty exhilarating experience-and we walked back out to the car with the caretaker of the lighthouse who told us some interesting things. Just do it!! Its amazing!!!! "

"A very peaceful and beautiful location. Surrounded by nature, private
and secluded. The house has spectacular views and is very open and
light . Beautifully furnished for a relaxing break. The kitchen is stocked
with quality kitchen ware...great for cooking and staying in. Each bedroom has a view and lovely quiet ambience. The owners were very
helpful and professional with their service. We spent 2 weeks @ Vainui during March and found it hard to leave. The house has no air
conditioning( ceiling fans throughout) and did get hot at times when temps hit high 20's to 30's.Summer might be trying with the humid weather in the region. The Great Lakes Region does have spectacular
natural beaches for cooling down though and you will see whales and dolphins playing in the waves close by, during March. That was a very special experience! At Vainui you will breakfast with kookaburras , parrots, bush turkeys, gorgeous lizards and spectacular butterflies and at night you can feed the possums. A short walk through the property
puts you on the lake for a swim, a paddle or to fish. It is a slice of heaven!
