Belmadar Rose Cottage is a fully self contained, 2 bedroom cottage, designed to be fully accessible to the disabled, yet available to anyone. There are no steps at all, just a smooth access for wheelchairs.

Cottage

Our cottage is situated just 5 minutes from Singleton in a quiet rural location. As the Singleton motto says "The Heart of the Hunter". You can use the cottage as a base for your exploration of the Hunter Valley or just relax on the verandah with a good book.
We have equipment for the disabled available for your use, Commode chair, hoist and Hi-Lo bed.
Your well behaved pets are welcome to stay too, but as they are not human we request that they be kept off the furniture. As we have a rural aspect we only have country fencing.

The accommodation was excellent. There is attention to every detail for wheelchair users. It was the best wheelchair-friendly accommodation I have been to. Nothing is missed from a terrific wheelchair-friendly bathroom to benches that you can wheel under. I could go on and on about how wonderful it was. It was very clean, the people were lovely and the cookies left for you were beautiful, I don't think I left a crumb. We loved it and will be back

Property

There is a large open plan living/dining/kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped including microwave and small stove, full size fridge. All crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Bench tops are at wheelchair accessible height.

Reverse Cycle air conditioning, TV DVD and Video player, CD player/radio all with remote controls. We have a range of dvd/videos available for your use.

If you a have a disability, the cottage has been designed specifically with you in mind by people who, from experience, understand your needs. There is a hoist, standard commode chair and an electric bed available.

The bathroom will accommodate wheelchairs with ease, hobless shower and grab rails around toilet and shower. There is a small washing machine and tub (washing powder supplied)

Undercover parking with enough room to unload wheelchairs, covered access to the front door.

Courtyard at the back with BBQ and outdoor seating.

We request that you do not smoke inside the cottage.
Pets are welcome outdoors and indoors. It is requested that pets not be allowed on the furniture. The cottage has a rural aspect and as such only has rural fencing
Owners live on site so we are available to assist you at any time.

The cottage sleeps up to six people. One bedroom has a double bed, second bedroom has two single beds and there is a sofa lounge in the lounge room. One of the single beds is an electric hi-lo bed. A cot is available for infants.
