Holiday house

The Shoalwater Bay Beach House is a stylish, self-contained four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in the popular beachside region of Rockingham, 50km south of Perth. Just minutes from the spectacular Shoalwater Bay Beach, Penguin Island, cafes, restaurants and shopping centres, the Beach House offers convenient and comfortable short term accommodation for families, friends or corporate travellers.The House sleeps up to 8 people in four bedrooms.
The master bedroom opens on to a small private courtyard. You'll be delighted with the comfortable queen size bed; overhead fan; sea grass privacy screen and ensuite with glass enclosed shower and separate full size bath.
The second double bedroom features another queen size bed and has a semi ensuite bathroom, also with a bath and shower. There is a single bedroom with a desk and chair. The fourth bedroom features a double bunk bed. And we all know how much kids love bunk beds!
There is also a folding bed and portable cot, providing more sleeping options. All doonas, pillows, linen and towels are provided. You only need to bring your beach towel.
The main living area features a very comfy leather lounge suite, TV and DVD, as well as a dining setting for up to eight people.
The fully equipped compact kitchen in this spacious open plan layout is separated by a seventies breakfast bar and Bali style stools.
There is also a formal lounge room and dining area.
The two outdoor courtyards are enclosed by high brick walls for privacy, child safety and pet friendliness.
The larger family courtyard features a sheltered patio garden area with a BBQ and outdoor setting. It's well placed for catching cool breezes in summer or the morning sun in winter, perfect for alfresco dining.
The heated spa which easily seats five is tucked away in its own corner off the private courtyard. Everyone who stays at the Beach House loves the spa!

Many thanks for the Shoalwater property last weekend, it was a great couple of day's getaway. My wife and the kids are planning a longer stay next time!

About Rockingham

The Shoalwater Bay Beach and surrounding areas are perfect for all water sports including swimming, fishing, crabbing, snorkelling, scuba diving, boating, and wind surfing.

One of the most popular tourist activities is swimming with wild doplhins in Cockburn Sound.

You can either walk to Penguin Island at low tide or take the ferry, except during the penguin breeding season.

Peaceful Lake Richmond is just around the corner, with the Naragebup Environment Centre just opposite.

Point Peron offers great walking opportunities, and is a terrific place for dolphin spotting.

At Old Rockingham Beach you will find a selection of cafes to choose from for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Nearby Safety Bay is a favourite for wind surfers, while the jetty at Palm Beach is popular for fishing and crabbing as the water there is more than 15 metres deep.

Rockingham City Shopping Centre, open seven days a week during the holidays, offers an endless array of popular stores.

Or just around the corner from the Beach House you have the convenience of the Shoalwater Shopping Centre's dozen specialty stores including a supermarket open seven days a week all year round, a fish and chip shop, George and the Dragon Hotel, a bakery, a chemist and a newsagent.

Mandurah, with it's waterfront holiday town feel and Fremantle with it's European style cafe strip are both less than half an hour's drive away.

There are bus services linking Shoalwater with the local area and prviding access to Fremantle and the extremely efficient train service to Perth and Mandurah.

You won’t need to spend your time and money at the Laundromat as there’s a small laundry equipped with a washing machine, iron and ironing board. The clothes line is in the family courtyard.

There is paved off street parking for two cars, a lock up garage and a covered car port.
