Situated in the leafy suburb of Shoal Bay, only a 7 minute stroll to Shoal Bay Village centre and 5 minutes drive to the very popular Nelson Bay. Bali Hai is a very comfortable 3 bedroom house, sleeping up to 8 people.

Holiday house

Our accommodation includes undercover verandah and BBQ area, an air-conditioned main bedroom with ensuite bathroom and full kitchen. There are 2 living areas - a comfortable lounge with sofas, games and books for your enjoyment, as well as a TV and VCR, and an air-conditioned family area adjoining the kitchen with TV/VCR, dining table and armchairs.

Two further double bedrooms (one with extra trundle bed) and a bathroom and laundry with washing machine and drier complete the accommodation. Extra guests may be accommodated on a sofa bed in the main lounge room.

Pets are catered for with baskets and bowls as well as an emergency supply of tinned dog food. Also supplied are tea and coffee, milk,sugar and some basics such as dried pasta and sauce, for those arriving too late to shop.

There is a large back garden including an undercover verandah and BBQ area, and a substantial fenced area for dogs. There is plenty of room for children to play outside. The beaches of Shoal Bay, Zenith Beach, Box Beach and Fingal Bay are all an easy walk away with a lovely cycle path running along to Fingal Bay(great for walking the dogs). There is also a dog-friendly beach at Nelson Bay. Be sure to take a dolphin cruise from Nelson Bay - we recommend the "Spirit"cruises with their water slide, diving board and boom nets.

Locality

One of the main attractions of Shoal Bay is Tomaree Head which lies on the easternmost end of Shoal Bay, a short steep bush walk up to the top offers magnificent views over Port Stephens. Stretching to approx 50km in each direction, from Seal Rocks in the north to Newcastle in the south. You can often see dolphins in the area as well as migrating humpback whales.

Close to Shoal Bay is the town of Nelson Bay, with its fabulous shops, superb marina, restaurants & bars. Port Stephens is also renowned for its golf and fishing. The golf course at Nelson Bay is a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
