Cottage on the Park in Alfred street has been designed for the family and those who need a comfortable base to rest awile in the North East of Tasmania.
Situated centrally in the rural town of Scottsdale is a 2 bedroom home, completely renovated, furnished to a very high standard and everything is supplied for your convenience.

The kitchen is an absolute delight. Soaked in sunshine most of the day, is fully equiped, including microwave and dishwasher. Separate dining room and separate lounge room allow families a bit of space and privacy.

The bedrooms consist of one queen bed and the other has twin king singles. All bedding is provided.

Heating is electric and the cottage is fully insulated.Very cosy in winter.
The bathroom has a very large shower and there is a separate toilet.

The garden is just perfect for children to explore and the park/playground is just over the back fence.
Telephone access provided at extra cost.
All Guests must phone before arrival for key collection details.

We really enjoyed our short stay - wish it could have been longer. Mr Mogford.

Locality

Cottage on the Park is a great place to stay while exploring the North East of Tasmania for a few days.
Many visitors spend time bushwalking at Ralph's Falls, Lillydale Falls or Cuckoo falls or taking a walk to Mt Stronnach.
The beautiful beaches of Briport are just 15 minutes drive and the award wining wineries of the Pipers River region are just 35 minutes drive.
If you are a golf fanatic, Barnbougle Dunes links at Bridport will be a challenge you musn't miss.You could take in the purple vista of the Bridestowe Lavender farm during December and January when it is in full bloom.
There are many other things to see and do. The Scottsdale Forest Eco centre renown for its achitecture has won many awards, it also houses the local information centre and the volunteers could help you out with planning your itinerary.

Property

This property is just 45 minutes from Launceston, 1.5 hours from St Helens, 15 minutes to Bridport on the coast and 2.5 hours from the ship terminal in Devonport. Conveniently situated for exploring the whole North East of Tasmania for 3-4 days.
If you are working in the area this property is a very comfortable home to come back to at the end of the day to relax and unwind.
