Nestled in an Australian Mountain garden, Clare Cottage offers a perfect getaway for 2 or 4 guests.
On the ground floor the cottage has a spacious lounge/dining/full kitchen and the bathroom has a deep spa bath with a picture window. Shower is over the bath. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with Queen beds looking out into the treetops. Additional bedding for families is available at a moderate cost. There is an HD TV, Dvds, Cds, books, magazines to make a relaxing retreat. There is a BBQ and full laundry facilities - perfect for a longer getaway.

There are two sunny sitting balconies to enjoy the beauty and natural mountain environment of the Dandenong Ranges. Full breakfast provisions are included in your tariff.

This is a perfect retreat for one couple to enjoy together. Or perhaps bring some friends. You are welcome to invite friends up to join you for lunch in the cottage if you wish.

Sassafras village is 1km away, if you are adventurous you can walk, but it is a quick drive. Just 2kms from Clare Cottage to Olinda and all the beautiful shops, galleries, cafes and gardens of the Dandenongs are within easy reach.

Puffing Billy about 12 minutes and Yarra Valley wineries are 45 minutes away.

Check in for Clare Cottage is from Candlelight Cottages at 7-9 Monash Avenue, Olinda. We will provide you with local information and the keys and directions to your hideaway.

Satelite navigation does not work very well in the Dandenongs, so we suggest you follow your chosen highway or road to Upper Ferntree Gully, thence under the railway bridge and head up the Mt Dandenong Tourist Rd to Olinda Village (you'll go through the lovely Sassafras village first). In Olinda you veer left and, at the end of the shops turn immediately right into Monash Avenue (past the Pharmacy & bus shelter). Travel 500 mtrs down Monash Ave over 3 speed humps and find Candlelight Cottages on your right. We will be there to welcome you!
