Walk down your own private staircase to the shores of St George's Basin (perfect for your swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking or just chilling out and enjoying the serenity!)

Just a 10 minute drive to stunning ocean beaches and the famous Jervis Bay National Park.

The house itself - you will enjoy:
* Two large double bedrooms and one smaller bedroom (with bunk beds -perfect for the kids).
* Lovely big eat-in kitchen with stunning views over the lake
* Enormous family room with TV, DVD, gas heater, stereo and wood floors

NB: The house is comfortable, clean and loads of 50's charm, but do note that the house is unrenovated and is not in slick or perfect condition. We love the rsutic charm and we hope you will too!

The backyard - you will enjoy:
* Lovely gum grees all around
* Abundant bird life in the trees
* Outdoor table setting with BBQ
* Level concrete deck for enjoying the summer
* Plenty of grass for dogs and kids to play on

The front yard - you will enjoy:
* Large unenclosed front yard
* Plenty of room for parking 3 (or more) cars
* Lots of big gum trees and native plants

The location - you will enjoy:
* Right on the lakefront looking south over the National Parks
* There is a private wooden staircase (with viewing deck) leading down to the lakeshore

"gorgeous place for a weekend get-away or a longer stay. It's a little bit "rustic" - but isn't that what you want in a beach shack?" (Hannah, age 32)

Locality

Sanctuary Point is a mid-size town on the shores of the beautiful St. Georges Basin. There is a super-market, green-grocer, butcher and gourmet deli in town. There is also a golf course. The real highlight of the location is the lake - ie. St Georges Basin. Every day in summer I go for a swim in the lake - and it is simply the best! All around you see nothing but gum trees and mountains. Also great for fishing, wind-surfing, water-skiing etc.

If you feel like getting in the car, you are just a 10-30 minute drive from Jervis Bay National Park, Cave's Beach (surfing in the National Park), Hyam's Beach (apparently the "whitest sand in the world"), the famous "Husky Pub" (in Huskisson) and much, much more...

All of this is roughly 3 hours drive from Sydney (and its a lovely drive too). We usually stop in Berry to stock up on some fresh sourdough bread and other treats - but you can also buy the same stuff in Sanctuary Point (at the gourmet deli).

By the way - PERFECT PLACE FOR DOGS !!

Property

I think I have covered this already - but its a fairly basic, Aussie fibro beach-shack. There is plenty of character, lots of natural light and the main room has lovely original wooden floor boards which adds some extra charm. We really love the kitchen with its retro 1950's cupboards and the big windows looking out over the lake.
