our property,MUST LOVE DOGS,is serious about giving your pet as good a holiday as yourself.We cook special cup cakes for your pets arrival.If you wish to enjoy one of rutherglens many wineries,we will baby sit your loved one while your away.Your pet is welcome inside.We provide cosy ,clean,blankets .Our couch is high quality leather.

Bed & Breakfast

Accommodation for a couple, where pooches and their owners will have a pampered holiday, of course you are still very welcome with out a pet.
Let us spoil your pet whilst you visit our wonderful town of Rutherglen and surrounding areas!!
Enjoy staying in our circa 1840 Globe Hotel home, restored with a modern suite and expansive gardens while your pets are pampered by us.
The Dining room is heritage listed and was the original hotel kitchen. The rugged brick walls and 14 feet ceiling add to the experience of dining. Breakfast and dinner are served here.
We have a large and unique 100 yr old Maple Tree. Spend time relaxing in the shaded garden with your pet running free. If you prefer you can enjoy your own private area whilst having a Devonshire tea and watching your pet play safely within the confines of our magnificent garden.
The accommodation has polished boards through out the suite. The suite is comfortably decked out with a leather couch, Queen size bed, private ensuite with a bath and shower, TV and large collection of DVD, and amble storage. We can provide an extra single bed if required. We also haven't forgotten pooches with their own bed provided.
The spacious bathroom has excellent lighting for make-up and shaving. We provide Dove soap, bubble bath and quality shampoo and conditioner.

Evening Meal
Enjoy a romantic candle lit dinner in your private suite.
We will discus with you on arrival, your favourite foods and personally design a 2 course menu 'JUST FOR YOU'.
Devonshire Teas
Our Devonshire teas include 4 fresh scones, which are served hot with homemade strawberry jam and freshly whipped cream. A large pot of English breakfast tea finishes this mouth-watering experience. $12
Picnic Hamper
Choose from a selection of fresh ingredients including - local cheeses, home cooked meats, selection of local pickles, salad and fruit, freshly baked crusty rolls and crackers.

Rutherglen has many attractions to keep you entertained while you are staying with us.
Why not go on a winery tour, save yourself the worries of being that little bit over and let someone else do the driving for you? Mercedes Benz 280 SE, stretch limos, mini buses and air-conditioned coaches - there's something to suit all.
Rutherglen offers ‘foodies’ a great opportunity to tantalise their taste buds including our award winning Olive Groves where you can taste local olives and olive oils. You can visit two local gourmet chocolate producers where you can sample their chocolate creations.
Rutherglen is home to the award winning Parker Pies. We also have a large variety of high quality restaurant to choice from.
For the young at heart we have many cycling and walking tracks. Rutherglen also has the last leg of the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail. There are many Golf courses in the region, which includes Howlong, Corowa and Rutherglen Golf Club.
Rutherglen is surrounded by local markets including our own Farmers Market, which is on the second Sunday of each month. There is a market on every weekend in the district.

Property

Built in 1849 as the Globe Hotel it was frequented by many interesting characters of that era. One of these characters was Mrs McGillicuddy who was arrested for smoking opium and taken to the local goal.
The top story of the hotel was burnt down approx in early 1900’s, the bricks were relocated to the current Star Hotel.
The Globe Hotel closed down in the 1920’s and had many other lives arriving at it’s recent destination, after extensive renovations Must Love Dogs B&B.
