Boats leave from Rockingham Jetty for those wanting to swim with the dolphins and the ferry can take you across to Penguin Island during season so you can see penguins in their natural habitat. Beach

Less than 5 minutes drive to the beach.

Safety Bay beach is a 5 minute drive from the house. It is popular with kite and windsurfers. There is also a boat ramp. Shoalwater Bay is 5 minutes up the road. Water is shallow and there are no waves. Depending on the wind direction, there are 4 beaches you can choose from, one of them will be sheltered from the wind.

Canoeing & Kayaking

Canoe and/or Kayak facilities available nearby, Less than 5 minutes drive to water.

There is an Eco-adventure Tour operating out of Shoalwater. Guests book through them for kayaking and snorkeling tours to Penguin and Seal Islands. More information is in the Guest Information Booklet provided by the management.

The bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the house. The bus goes to the train station, which is 10 minutes walk away.

Family Friendly

Portacot available, Plastic crockery and cutlery available for children, Games/videos for children over 12 available, Fenced/safe outdoor play area.

There is a grassed back yard which is fully-fenced. The front entertainment area is limestone and is also fully-fenced. All gates can be locked if you choose to do so. No doorways leading outside is more than one step high and there are no stairs inside the house. All crockery and glasses are kept in the upper cupboards and knives are inaccessible to young children.

Golf

Rockingham Golf Course is 10 minutes away by car and is open to the public. There is a Pro-shop where equipment can be hired. The Pro is available for lessons. There is also a pub and restaurant which is open to the public. Complimentary 9-hole golf vouchers are available, please ask for details.

Scuba diving

Scuba diving available nearby, Scuba diving gear available for rent nearby.

There are a number of Dive operators, dive tours and dive sites around the Rockingham area. All dive operators offer dive courses and you can hire all equipment through them.

Windsurfing/Kitesailing

Safety Bay and Shoalwater are both popular for Kite and Windsurfing.
