"We had an excellent stay. The major need was to escape the stresses and strains of getting ready to make a major move from Australia to the United States. We couldn't have asked for a better location. KI is beautiful and relaxing and the Allure Beach Retreat is pretty isolated and represents a back to nature approach. If you want all mod cons and creature comforts then go stay elsewhere. If you're prepared to soak up the surrounds, chill out and just accept being helplessly relaxed then this is the place for you. We had birds swooping during the day and wallabies hopping on the verandah at night.
A major point to note...while isolated from the general public, there is not much privacy from your fellow occupants. Unless you are exceptionally liberated, I'd recommend staying with close family only. Showering and sleeping is pretty public. That said, if you're prepared to relax into it, you'll find it very liberating. Even my 15 yo son openly showered outdoors and also while framed in the glass windows looking out at the beautiful beach and surounds! Alison...massive thanks for a great stay and we'll be back when we return to Aus in a few years!"

"The Allure Beach Retreat was comfortable and relaxing. The off-peak rate was very good value for the four of us. The overall experience was fantastic, we felt relaxed and free from the day to day hassles. It felt very secluded, like we were a world away. It was wonderful to be able to take our dog "Chica" with us, she had the time of her life, esspecially when she disappeared for over an hour in the scrub on our first night. I don't know how far she went but she practically slept the whole next day! My only concern is for those of us who have cars that are low to the ground, the track from the road to the house is a little treacherous. We only managed to get to the house because three of us hopped out of the car and walked and even then it was a little hairy (but fun!)"
