Farm stays

With polished timber floors, modern cosy kitchen and separate dining room, the cottage comfortably sleeps 6. There is a Queen bed, 2 Single Beds and and a double bunk bed.

In winter, warm up with the wood burner as you look across swan bay to see the lights of the Mornington Peninsula. Unwind as you gaze towards Port Phillip Heads and watch the ships come and go.
Located on several acres, you are surrounded by working farms. Back in the 1930's the farm was a working potato farm. In the 70's the farm turned from crop to sheep.

Today, the region is known for it's Black Angus Cattle as well as new crops such as olives, suited to the coastal climate. There are several vineyards just a stones through away. As you gaze toward the ocean, all you need do is relax and unwind and leave the farming to the experts!

There is also a new olive Grove planted in 2010 with Pical and Abequina Olives - Olive Oil hopefully being produced in season 2014. To see how the oil will taste, our neighbours 20 minutes walk away at the Lighthouse Olive Mill Shop - 650 Andersons Road have tastings. This is also home of one of the hottest new restaurants in Australia - Loam - make sure you book early !!

Locality

Whichever direction you choose to travel around The Bellarine, you'll realise that the more you look the more you discover!
Just over an hour and twenty from Melbourne and with the townships generally not more than ten kilometres apart, there is plenty to see on a day tour or stop in one place for the perfect short break.

Activities on The Bellarine include all the water-based sports and pleasures you can think of – snorkelling, jet-skiing, swimming with dolphins, surfing, kayaking, fishing, marine sanctuaries, sailing and more.Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula host many quality weekend markets including the Geelong Farmers Market offering the very best in local produce and the renowned Queenscliff Market with over 100 stalls.

The Bellarine Peninsula in Southern Victoria produces some of Australia's best wines and is surrounded by some of the best scenery and touring opportunities being close to beaches and with great dining at historic Queenscliff and Barwon Heads which has undergone a 'sea change' in recent years.selling high quality handcrafts and home baking.

We recommend Loam for a dining experience (approx. 3 mins drive), Portarlington Pub (10 mins drive) for a steak, any of the Cafes in Barwon Heads for Breakfast (20 mins drive) !
