The luxury Federation Cottage is decorated in Federation style with hand-painted ceiling roses and cornices, furnished with antiques including a 19th century wood heater. Located on a beautifully maintained 8 1/2 acre bushland property only 15 minutes north of Port Macquarie, the 2-Storey self-contained Federation Cottage has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. This allows guests the choice of a romantic getaway for two, a perfect family holiday or a great location for a group of friends relaxing together.

Gardenia Green Cottage, with its soft green tones and furnished with dark timbered antique furniture creates the romantic ambience of yesteryear whilst Lavender Blue Cottage has a stunning, bright and fresh country look.

Guests appreciate the many options offered from the cottages fully equipped kitchens. Well-stocked pantries enable guests to whip up a storm. They may also choose to be totally pampered by a silver-service dinner served in the comfort of the hosts private formal dining room or have specially prepared home cooked meals or picnic and BBQ hampers delivered to their cottage. For total relaxation guests are offered personalised aromatherapy massages such as the indulgent 2hr full body clay wrap in our private aromatherapy suite.

The Telegraph Retreat is located an effortless 15 minute drive from the bustling coastal town of Port Macquarie where cosmopolitain dining and alfresco cafes abound. Surrounded by small coved beaches and the Hastings River where all water sports and pursuits can be enjoyed.

Just 7 mins from the Telegraph Retreat is Stoney Park Water Sports & Recreation Centre where wakeboarding, and waterskiing can be learnt from international standard teachers.

Other activities in the local area include water cruises & seaonal whalewatching, fishing charters, military fighter flights, go-karting, jet-ski hire, horseriding, bushwalking, indoor rock climbing, hinterland drives to galleries and wineries, escorted mountain tours.

Even though all 3 cottages are fully self-contained with BBQ facilities, optional meals can be arranged with prior notice.

We offer a very special 3 course silver-service dinner served in our private dining room. You don't share the dining room with any other guest and you pre-choose your menu from a wide range of options. Alternatively, a 2-course meal can be delivered to your cottage. Our Federation House can sleep up to 8 people in 3 separate sleeping areas. The main bedroom has a Queen Size bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds or a King Size bed. The open upstairs area has 2 single sofa beds and one Double sofa bed. This area is often used for children as it also has a second TV/VCR/DVD player. This house has one bathroom with a bath, separate shower, toilet. There is also an additional toilet located downstairs.

Our Lavender Blue and Gardenia Green cottages are quite spacious and have an open plan layout with one Queen Size bed. There is also a lounge that can be converted into a Double Bed if required.

The Telegraph Retreat provides all bedding and linen to all cottages in all instances.
